There is no way to rightly say that Mo "would have" scored as well in the second quarter as well as he did in the first. With that kind of reasoning, we can easily say he would have dropped 40 tonight had he played 48 minutes. No one can know that for sure, so it isn't an easy or plausible argument to make. The fact is, we outscored the Warriors 31-18 in the second quarter, by far our best quarter of basketball tonight, and Kenny Thomas was a big part of that. Had Kenny not produced in that quarter, the argument would have much more validity...but he did. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Mo played the whole 1st quarter and had 2 fouls. Rudy sat him - possibly intending to sit him for a few moments to catch his breath and then throw him back in, but his replacement (KT) was lighting it up as well, so Mo gets an extended rest. Good coaching, go with the guy who is hot and allow your stars to be rested (not just for the rest of one game, but for an 82 game season where players play every 2-3 days). If Francis had a huge first quarter and then sat for a few minutes, and then the team went on a 28-2 tear with Moochie and Mobley both sizzling, I'd be hesitant to change the lineup. How many NBA championships are in your coaching resume Smeg? ------------------
Smeg, Ridicule is inappropriate for someone who is as good a coach as Rudy is. Last year, many b****ed about his seeming inability to transition to an up-tempo game. Now I listen to other teams' announcers on LeaguePass marvel at our offense. Rudy proves his worth over-and-over, but I guess that there will always be unbelievers. ------------------ Cohen
