Ten years from now the biggest NFL fans will remember most of these names. On-and-off NFL fans will remember a couple of them. And casual fans will remember Manning and Romo.
I like Schaub and think you could win with him but this would be the kind of bold move that could change the course of a franchise...in a VERY good way.
When they had David Carr, yes, you make a move for a QB. But this team has enough needs that they don't need to be trading away multiple picks to get one to replace one of the functional pieces of the team. The offense is fine, though inconsistent; they really need to focus on building a defense.
I overall agree BUT a couple things to consider, Schaub is Kubes guy and if he is gone, who knows if the GM/Coach will be as pro-Schaub. Also think that while Schaub is a good QB and the defense is much more of an issue, Luck appears to be the once in a lifetime type QB. Buffalo will take him and doubt they trade the pick so it may not matter but I think it's not so cut and dry.
His value as a coach on the field is underappreciated. There is no doubt that Brady and manning are the definition of a franchise player. And because I really like peyton and his funny commercials, I wished that he would take his talents to an organization that can achieve greatness in the playoffs. He only has one superbowl ring. In the NFC, peyton could get to the superbowl plenty of more times thus increasing his chances at another ring. He should really consider relocating away from the AFC.
