I created the site in August of 1996 in Boston ... during a lunch break at work (working as a Mechanical Engineering intern doing AutoCAD drawings, etc.) ... had a sheet listing the hex colors and was off. I digress..... From Boston to Utah for 6 months, to another 6 months in Boston to 12 months or so in Utah and now the past 18-20 months in Austin, TX. I love this place too. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET [This message has been edited by Clutch (edited April 24, 2000).]
I was born and raised on the NW side of Houston...been a Rocket fan since Rudy's playing day's.I live in College Station now ,CS is great if your a Rocket fan because all games(home and away)are on tv. I go to about 5 game's a year. ------------------
Born In Galveston(also where Barry White was born uh huh) Raised in Htown till I was 15 then my evil parents moved us to Cali(Bay Area) and have lived here for the past 5 years. Ive had season tix to the Warriors for the past 5 years just so I could watch my Rox 2 times a year live. I'm the idiot who sticks his head into the Cammera behind Bill and Calvin during halftime. Anyways Houstons my hometown and I can't stand Californians. Other than Raider fans they have no real sports fans down here. All Fairweather fans. When the Rockets played here I heard more cheers for the Rockets than the Warriors. Anyways I had no idea how many of us were from cities other than Houston it just goes to show the power of Clutchcity and the Rockets never say die apeal. ------------------ "We need to fockass".....Dream back in the day

Was actually a Washington Bullets fan until I saw the error of my ways (or was it Moses' sky hook) and became a Rocket fan for life. [This message has been edited by mc mark (edited April 24, 2000).]

Rocketman, You're 6 days older than me. '76 - obviously a great year for new-borns! ------------------
I was born in KCMO, moved to IA. I left IA (something about my .9 gpa) and moved to Houston in 81 with all the other yanks (note to natives: sorry about that). I went to UH and got hooked on bball because of PSJ. I saw one game against FL or FL State. Akeem had a triple double by half time (pts, rbs, blks). I started watching the Rockets during Ralph's first year. I really fell in love with the Rockets when they drafted Akeem. I taped (beta tape) most the games. But I'd get so upset when they lost, that I'd find out the final score first. If they won I could watch, if not, I'd tape the next one. I got to see the dream fulfilled twice and went to both parades. Now I live in Signal Mountain, TN (3 years now). Thanks CC for keeping me plugged in. ------------------
Art -- So you're the reason they had to have VHS and Beta? LOL! I always wondered why they had two kinds of VCR tape. I still don't know why, but at least I came across someone with Beta. R95 -- Didn't know you live in Austin. I'm surprised you and Kagy don't hang out...LOL! Me, you, Clutch and Kagy should get together, that would be freakin hilarious. I guess I'll go ahead and contribute to this thread: Born in SA, lived there for 2 years. Moved to Houston, lived there til I went to college in Austin in '92, lived in Austin ever since. ------------------ "Okay KG, next time down, you give Cousin Billy his turn, then he'll give Uncle Joe his turn, then we'll give Shaq a turn." -Rudy T, in the Dream Team 2000 huddle
Umm... ok, I guess I can join in. Born in 1970 in New Delhi, India. Came to this country in 1974 (on Halloween from what I remember, no comments please). Went to high school at Willowridge (same school that produced Thurman Thomas the year before I got there). Had a chance to go to Brown, Cornell, UT, A&M, or UH... chose UH due to illness in the family (Cornell was my first choice *sniffle*). Lived in Houston from 1974-1998 and moved to the DFW area in March of '98 for bigger job opportunities and bigger paychecks. I've been contracting doing Windows-based Automated Testing on SQL Server and Oracle platforms for QA departments. Decided to accept a full-time position with a telecom company recently for the greed and stock. Still have aspirations of starting my own company or running my own little store of some sort. I've been a Rockets fan since I was about 8 or 9. Used to watch Mike Dunleavy play for the Rockets instead of coach for the Blazers. Billy Paultz didn't seem so goofy back then. Neither did Major Jones or Calvin Murphy. Hakeem was more violent, too. Moses Malone sweated more than any creature on the planet (human fire hydrant). I started listening to Rockets games under my pillow with an ancient transistor radio back then. Back then it was the Spurs and Artis Gilmore I hated the most, not the Jazz and John Stockton. Gene Peterson was a screaming riot back then, too. Loved sports talk radio even then. My greatest moment was calling KTRH Sportsbeat and Jerry Trupiano and John Breen as a pre-teen to ask, "umm, uh... umm... who's the fastest Oiler?" Duh. Anybody remember Herky (sp?) Walls? LOL! Anyway... God bless this country 'cause it's been berry berry good to me. ------------------ ? [This message has been edited by Dr of Dunk (edited April 24, 2000).]
Born in Southeast Memorial Hospital (now defunct) in Houston in April of '67. Lived in Houston until I went to college in '85 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Stayed there for 9 years until they chased me out (they used something called a 'diploma;' gave me one and said I wasn't welcome there anymore) Moved back to Houston, but currently live in between Houston and Galveston. If Dreamshake lived in Dickinson, he'll know where I live--a little canal community called Omega Bay in the city of La Marque. ------------------ stop posting my damn signature
Born in Methodist Hospital in August of '57. Grew up in Meyerland, went to Bellaire High School until '75, graduated from Baylor in '79. My father was one of Kenneth Schnitzer's original employees when he founded Century Development Corporation and was the attorney who negotiated the buyout of all the houses and apartments for the westward expansion of Greenway Plaza. They couldn't give Rocket tickets away to clients in those days so we could go whenever we wanted. A lifelong Rocket fan was molded then. I moved to a little Iowa town right on the Mississippi River in '93 and took over a successful investment firm from my retiring father-in-law. ------------------
The original boy from down under, the land of the eternal arvo, fosters and roo hunting. More specifically Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, and have been a fan of the rockets since late eighties, i think the dump it in and kick it out for the 3 attracted me. SmeggySmeg ------------------
Born in Mars, followed the Saturn Suns, saw the Houston Rockets shoot Earth's moon, been a fan ever since =). ------------------
