It's also I think because these players tend to contribute more earlier in their contracts. Thus, we don't end up overpaying guys like say Marcus Morris, because we have confidence that we can replace role players through the draft.
I wish I could find the actual statistics but all three of the players picked so far have been top ten at finishing at the rim. As well Corey Brewer, Josh Smith and Kj Mc Daniels also have shown this proclivity. I believe this has a lot to do with the amount of threes the Rockets shoot. Now trying to close out on the perimeter plays right into our strength.
