It was just reported that they are "unlikely" to use it before it expires http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nba/110130-rockets-"unlikely"-to-use-injury-exception
It's funny how many fans consider him to be a bad GM but people who actually know the game of basketball disagree. Btw, name one bad move he's ever made.
You posted that like a surprise, lol. You were like a kid at christmas who was expecting the g.i. joe, but when u opened the gift, it was t-shirts and underoos, lol.
I'm not a Brad Miller lover in any way, but the idea behind him was to give us a big to put some pressure off Yao... Now that we don't have Yao it kinda defeats the purpose of Miller
Maybe convincingly, Morey is trading Yao as a "player" and not just a contract. Morey will pretend the Rockets want to keep Yao, maybe saying he "didnt like the offers." Then a team will budge at the deadline.. Offering picks and potential.
We used to have 2 superstar players. When Tmac left, DM assembled a pretty competitive team to accompany the other remaining star, Yao. And DM did that by drafting unknown players + trading for almost nothing (except for Landry, which had to be let go so we could get Kev Mart) which turned out to be quality NBA players. If we're looking for DM to get another superstar, then we should give him more time. Our one remaining star, Yao, was injured only a couple of months ago. And that change everything. I say, DM is a good GM to say the least. Regarding getting another player before January 31, I say, better no trade than bad trade.
I'm tired of hearing Morey is a great gm. He hasn't been horrible, but no way he's been great. All of the supposed 'assets' we have amounts to a sub 500 record, and these 'assets' aren't exactly desired by other teams. Also there's no direction on how the team will be built. Getting Kevin Martin is not a move that shows Morey is a great GM, We traded a max contract for a guy that puts up good stats on losing teams, and now the Rockets are a losing team but Martin is still getting good stats. The trade rumors concerning our 'assets' have been Minnesota offering Jonny Flynn for Aaron Brooks, and Dallas being interested in Kevin Martin but they aren't going to give us Dirk or anything like that. The trade proposals on Clutchfans such as Yao's contract, Hill, and Budinger for Chris Paul and Emeka Okafor are just laughable. I'm hoping Morey can pull something off, but as long as the team languishes in mediocrity he's not a great gm.
Well I was holding out hope..... I figured they applied for it for a reason. You are right about the Christmas Gift though. We have all had that moment like "WTH is this? I didn't ask for this!"

I just turned 40 last week and back in my day, when you got shirts and underwear, my parents didnt even put them in boxes, lol. They just wrapped up the garment as is. No box to hide, no nothing. As soon as you saw it under the tree, you knew it was a 3 pack of underwear or some damn socks, lol.
I don“t know why, but I think a trade will be made today, that will open up a roster spot, for us to "eat" a (bad) contract in a separate deal with the disabled player exception, or just sign a FA talent from the d-league. Just a feeling........ (maybe a dream) PeAcE
COURTNEY LEE FOR TREVOR ARIZA. Thats pretty much a given nobody can argue away by now in basketball terms. They can only nring up saves us money. Like that wins our team some basketball games or frees up money to sign anyone.
