Man, I freakin' hated high school, so I got nothing out of that experience from a fashion or interest standpoint. I'm actually thankful for that.

    :)

I second this motion. Definitely NOT D&D material, this Garofalo infatuation.

    That's the best evidence she's not a geeky/nerdy girl.

IMO, men like geeky/nerdy girls for some fetish reasons, besides wanting to have intelligent conversations.

If you go out with a slutty/seductive girl, you sort of expect what you are getting, you know. But, if you date a geeky/nerdy girl, you are more or less looking to experience a "pleasant surprise" when certain moment arrives.

I always liked the weird girls like Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink etc. Does that count?

Janeane Garofolo doesn't count as a geek, she's just a cranky girl that wears glasses.

I'm not obsessed and I didn't go back there this morning. I just thought she was cute.

I've pretty much bailed on all dating activities for the near future. My life is complicated enough at the moment. :D

Jeff for our high school it wasn't graduation day, but parole day. At least that is how I felt.

I'm glad to hear you say this. It is when you are truly working on yourself that the man upstairs will reveal your soulmate to you. Keep your chin up.

must work on self... must not think about it... maybe it will work...

No, actually I think I have no soulmate and might as well get used to it. Everybody has their type they want - the cute geek or the hot babe or the fashion model type. Not much room for the rest of us. I'm trying to avoid any kind of emotional entanglements right now. It's hard to get used to it, though.

true, even when I try not to be. (and I know guys don't like that) Category 5 hurricane: stay away from it if you know what's good for you. I give up. :(

For me, personally, I just don't have the emotional energy to deal with even the smallest of relationship issues. I don't want to date. I don't want to be in a relationship. I'll flirt, but I have no interest in carrying it further. It is just WAY too much work for me at the moment, so I'm just walking away for the time being, which is probably good.

I mean, I have a hard enough time figuring myself out. The last thing I need at the moment is to try and figure out someone else figuring me out figuring herself out...er...you get the idea.

Your lame attempt at trying to close this thread with your "last words about a relationship" post is useless, Jeff. We'll continue to talk about geeky nerdy glasses-wearing hotties.
