Stupid and lazy comparison, none of those players did I think have the potential of Cam......but people will make up whatever narrative they have without truth to serve their demented viewpoint. Cam Whitmore might bust, there are no guarantees in the NBA - but he plays with the force and will power of a star - a belief that doesn't waiver, and that is what star players need. I don't care that he paints his nails, its more that Draymond was able to get under his skin over it. If Jalen had the attitude and confidence of Lamelo or Ant, I wouldn't care if he came in wearing a dress. That would make him more Rodman like, instead he is ultra soft.

Yeah, it is a joke - most of the players I like hit.....but I have misses like everyone. The only FACT is we don't know what he is or will be and you don't trade until you do know. This is all about FINDING out, because Cam's WILLPOWER and belief are the stuff of star players - or busts, he can go either way.....IMHO....let's find out. And, I don't trust Ime to play strong willed players - so far he is playing an unbalanced rotation - we shall see if he has what it takes to move to the back seat when he has a star player to drive. Cam is a monster and will keep coming at you if Ime will got out of his head and jet him be him. He is exactly what the Rockets needed. You would never see the cowardice and reluctance Jalen showed from Cam. Whitmore is a future star in this league.
Every time I've seen the guy play I see the same thing... unafraid to shoot, unafraid to challenge, unafraid to run amok. Not saying he's Ant by any stretch, but with the physical build and drive he's at least Ant-adjacent. See I didn't know that. I just saw people posting screen shots and making the comment. Obviously nobody can predict the future but the criticism of him showed itself in the NBA. Why wouldn't you trade him? He doesn't seem to have any value to this roster. I just think he's a losing player. This team was good this year. How will we find out? He doesn't belong in the rotation. If we trade Jalen (when his replacement is coming back. They aren't going to move him to make space for Whitmore. I don't trust Ime on offense but he went out and supported getting Brooks so I don't agree with that. I just think we need an offensive minded assistant, shooters and a closer. Currently we don't have that on the roster unless Reed makes the jump next season
All I know is Rockets better not move on from Cam anytime soon. Cam needs a legit 6-7th man role next season.
Here is what I love about Cam, he doesn't back down and he has a motor to score the ball, he is the closest thing I have seen to Kobe Bryant at 19-20 since the original himself. Kobe was the same - shoot crazy shots, drive in relentless into traffic, but you could see a never wavering confidence and Phil Jackson was smart enough to let him learn through his mistakes, airball after airball in the playoffs - because he knew. I see the same thing in Cam - now he may not get there, chances are he won't but playing with that type of force is rare, and it is where superstars come from an unwavering confidence. Cam has it - no one else on the roster - outside of maybe Amen does....... IMHO, trade Jalen, install Cam and let him cook...... DD
I agree to the 9th power. I see Cam becoming a star. One of the main reasons I watch the rockets is because I hope he gets into the game somehow. If Cam gets traded, that franchise will be super lucky and I will follow Cam and root for any team he plays for. There's a reason LeBron and a lot of teams mention and inquire about Cam.
