I'll listen to the argument of a neocon until he/she starts spouting crap about censhorship.

That's the real bell that got me away from Republicanism. Some dude tellinging me I should live my life a certain way after I served my country for four years while he was filling voter vouchers for some dip**** that had no clue what we were talking about.

Tell me something about Jesus and I'll prove to you that he never mattered in the first place.

Not that you are wrong in your interpretation--I just think in my mind the neo-cons are like Snowe, McCain and a few other republicans who are not rank and file strait conservatives--those are the conservatives advocating policy shifts more centrist than the fairly extreme rightest current repulican core.

Interesting framework and terms. But I don't know about the dying part in the last line--it seems to me the core republicans are not moderate on their social positions (anti-abortion, tougher immigration controls/penalties, militarizing the border, private intrusions in the name of state security) nor fiscal positions (more spending, less taxation). A neo-con to me would be one who advocates a shift from this--e.g., budget deficit hawks, like McCain, Snowe, former senator Dole (until he ran for pres at least), or those with moderate social stances (mostly NE republicans, also Goldwater clones and Gary Johnson from NM who advocated decriminalization of some illegal drugs).

To me the neo-con is an out of the social conservative & supply side fiscal box, they may also favor a more isolationist foreign policy. They are not the strait rank and file conservatives just squared or cubed in their voracity in pursuing a uniform conservative agenda as the popular press is throwing it around.

Again, to me it is unfortunate because their is less ground for moderate or out of the box conservatives to stand on--some of whom I would even vote for if these guys could ever make it through their primaries and local offices.

Remember when Neocons were the ‘bad’, extreme right-wing guys?

I never thought I’d say this but I miss the good old days, even W. Bush is a ‘good’ guy compared to the insanity that’s on the right now.

Remember Cheney, the guy who shot someone in the face? His daughter is a Senator. And she’s closer to the ‘middle’ than most of her party.

Just to be fair, she isn't in the middle at all. The only thing she is centrist on is being in support of trying to steal an election.

But everything else I agree with.

No there isn't. The issue of trying to steal an election is where she's a centrist. Meaning she isn't in favor of it. Rereading it, I totally get why it would seem that way since she's not in favor of stealing the issue.
