Let me ask you this, where was it that you heard the phrase Occam's Razor? Was it successful? First heard it in CONTACT and it was in reference to the simplest thing to believe was that she didn’t travel anywhere, but it also wasn’t the truth… Okay so normally the simplest thing for the Rockets to do would be to draft a player with our first pick, but when that first player is Ming it is not so simple anymore… Still it might be simpler than a threeway… But then that would mean that we are not doing the simplest thing… and instaed we are trading Ming’s rights in a threeway deal… When is a threeway a throwaway?… When your unloading players you want to throwaway to pick up players you do want… The three? Well that could mean we're throwing away the three (rice) which might mean we are swapping threes with the Clippers Rice for Odom... Are it could mean all three are involved in the throwaway meaning if the Bulls get Ming ( after the rockets give them the number one pick) they won't need Curry anymore and the Clips, who are happy with Miles, after they get the bulls pick to acquire JWill, don't need Odom and the Rockets and the Rockets get Odom and Curry and throw away Rice...
Why would the Bulls give up #2 and Curry for Yao Ming? They are on the verge of becoming a decent team. Chandler Curry Rose Robinson Jason Williams That five can lead them to the playoffs in about 2 years time. Anways, here is my last post in the Troy Barros thread. I know Doc Rocket was viewing that thread before he started his. Might be talking about my lucky guess I took in there -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Will I can't wait till draft day, when we'll all find out whether TroyBaros is a liar or just an a******. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm hoping he is the latter. I believe him, but he is still an arrogant ass. I still dont think it is a 100% this deal gets done. Deals probably fall through more often then not. Rudy and CD are trying hard as hell to save their necks I guess. Odom and Curry for Ming is not a bad deal. I'd still rather draft Ming and trade KT and 15 for a small forward.
Maybe the Rockets have successfully negotiated with the Shanghai Sharks to let Ming leave early and 14 is the number of days until Ming will be available to play for the Rockets.
Okay Occam's Razor states that, "when you have two competing theories which make exactly the same predictions, the one that is simpler is the better." But in Contact that theory proved to be false... A quote from Contact... ELLIE --Senator... I believe I traveled through a series of wormholes. Wormholes are a phenomenon deduced by Einstein; they're essentially tears in the fabric of space/time. Because of the effects of relativity what I experienced as a period of approximately eighteen hours passed almost instantaneously on Earth. To you I seemed to depart and arrive back at the same moment. No one beleieved Ellie but she did travel through space... and no one believed TroyBaros's ridculous suggesting that Francis could possibly say he would leave the Rockets if they acquired Ming... Still he was telling the truth. And then there's DocRocket's last statement that Rockets03 was right on the money... That's the one that gives it away... We are getting Odom and Curry... Not a shabby deal for an off season and if we can still keep or 15th pick i'll be content
Chandler is #3. So is Francis. So is Quentin Richardson. R0ckets03's reply to Doc's comments on Francis in Troy's first thread:This is some messed up ****. Why the hell would Steve want Jason Williams? I dont think this is true, but if Steve is dumb enough to ask for that we should trade his ass. Occam's Razor: "Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily." also stated "when you have two competing theories which make exactly the same predictions, the one that is simpler is the better." Which is simpler-trading Steve for another top notch PG like Davis or Miller, or trading the #1 and getting a center? Just playing around, I doubt that's the case. Just further confusing everyone. Carry on.
I agree with that Bulls lineup. If Jason Williams is as good as advertised along with the health of Robinson, that would be avery good team quick. Chandler started playing well the lst 2 months of the season and Curry is coming around also. Throw in Rose and Robinson and thats a long quick athletic team in the east. I just don't see it
I would say at PF where I think he belongs. Curry will eventually replace Cato, by that time hopefully Griffin is better enough than Taylor that our starting 5 will be: Francis - PG Mobley - SG Odom - SF Griffin - PF Curry - C
Great thread.. Move over Cato, Rice,Collier,KT and Dan Langhi, here comes Ming and Odom. Cato don't go to far. Go Rockets!!
We'll do what's simpler, and that's NOT dealing with the Sharks. Odom and Curry, "not too shabby"? Curry and Odom. Odom and Curry. Wow. Take the 15th. Take the 1st. Take KT. Take our picks for the next 3 years. Wow, that's incredible. Curry Grifin Odom Mobley Francis I LOVE HAVING THE NUMBER ONE PICK! CAN'T WE DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR?
The only reason the Bulls would do this is because they're afraid we'll trade the #1 to someone and they'll take J-Will. By moving up to #1 the Bulls insure themselves of Williams.
Sorry guys I haven't seen enough of Curry. The reason I asked where Griffin would play is because I thought Curry currently played the 4. Is Curry ready to contribute at the 5? Where has Curry played the most this season?
