The team I'd currently compare us to is Phoenix a few years back when they lost Amare for a whole year. They still made it far in the playoffs, WCF I think, and getting Amare back didn't hurt them. You take what you can get, there's no such thing as being too good in the NBA.

Keep him, if it all happened... and go for another repeat.

    If it all happens.

If we win this year, that'd put a hell of alot of pressure on Yao next year when he returns.

I'd expect a repeat. The Rockets would definitely re-sign Mac next offseason if they make noise this year.

It's funny to c how some random dudes started and kept pumping a "I feel betraied by Yao putting OG be4 Rox" thread (and attacked the comminist like they really know jack about the comminist, which i found it the funnest :D ).

And just 1 day after, they want to trade away Yao coz "although it's a bit cold, hell, let's trade Yao if it's the best for the Rox coz fans wanna win it all."

    talk about double standard, hehe...

if we win a title w/o yao this year, that proves he's a redundant piece on the team or maybe even a harmful piece that deters this team. if the rockets happen to win a title this year on a 1 out of a million chance, i suggest we just buy him out after the season, which is the only way to go because no one would want a useless marketing tool. then we can re-sign uncle mutumbo to a five-year deal 25 mils deal, and still have plenty of money to re-sign landry. yes, that will do it.

    hi ,all of u

im from shanghai ,YAO's hometown ,

most people here, dont think YAO can get the ring if he stay in huston

    reasons

1.YAO is not a great man as BIG DREAM.
Yao is a good player, industry ,work hard ,but that's not enough ,he need a great man like KOBE to help him

2.CD is a miser ,but now the new manager is good.Murray knows how to spend money efficiently

    3.Tracy is a girl

    so ,pls trade Yao,

my friends hope CD trade Yao to LA Lakers though we all know its not possible

What if Elvis lands in a UFO and takes the Rockets to the White House to meet the President?

I'd say a Finals win is pretty far-fetched. It would be nice if it happens, but I don't think planning a parade would be a productive use of Houston's time.

Have you consider 2nd round or WC Finals. We haven't done it with him in 5 years and he's injury prone. Face it, his body isn't going to get better with the demands of China and Houston on his back.

Dude is Range Rover - pretty but stays in the shop more than on the road.

Excellent point, if the MIGHTIEST OF ALL ROCKETS left and play for another team, why do we hold Yao above him when he hasn't delivered one playoff series win.

The question is would Yao win with what Dream had. No

this looks like a question of an average looking middle aged wife asking his husband:

if a young billionaire ask me to marry him, should we divorce?
