Am I the only one who can't understand this post? I have read it 5 times and I still have no idea what your stance is. Maybe there are typos somewhere? :)

Yes, I agree it sounds annoying to most of Rockets fans, but you have to note that some of the guys here are indeed voting for getting Yao traded. These skeptics have to be reassured again and again that it's better to keep Yao. I'm kind of tired of doing that, so I just ask them to do some soul-searching.

Why is it annoying to people? Suns fans had reason to be like us, they were so close to finals year after year, we haven't even gotten out of the first round with yao/t-mac. People have kept saying we only need one more piece next to our duo, well guess what, that piece has to be huge, like all star big...teams like Dallas/PHX/DET need one more piece...bc they have been deep in the playoffs....teams like us......no.

This team has never won anything, if we were talking about breaking up a winning team that was missing one small piece id understand. Does it matter if it's Yao or T-Mac on this team when we win a championship? You'd hope so, but no it doesn't matter. I dont care if we have the rapist on our team when we win, i dont care if we have the flopping dirk on our team, i just care about the HOUSTON ROCKETS WINNING!

"Yao will not be a Rocket the day he retires! You can count on it."

Haha, this sentence just has one NOT more!
I guess he means Yao will retire in Houston.

They are a winning team and was probably a small missing piece from breating the Jazz last year.

Kobe isnt going anywhere and Dirk hasnt lead his team anywhere either. Hes a choker so far in his career.

I'd truly rather trade T-MAC but Yao has more value to help the Rockets, 2 or 3 good players is better than just Yao. Many feel the duo has had enough time, do we really want to end up the version of Malone/Stockton without even accomplishing what they did, as in get out of the first round even? We all have our opinions and i would prefer getting an all-star big plus a pick in this deep draft for Yao. Of course, it has little to no chance of happening bc its all about money. The money yao brings in.

You want to know why it's annoying? Let me tell you something. The best player on your team has just suffered a heartbreaking injury. Instead of rooting for him and praying for a speedy recovery, some of the fans are screaming about trading him. What the hell kind of fans are you really are? You're doing this even when the team is still winning.
I understand your desperation for a title, but you just went a bit too far. trust me, the management and the coach are better at deciding the future of the ball club than us fans.
As I said, this is a team with hope and this is a club with hope. You dont have to rush to some stupid conclusions.

But Dirk has gotten to the Finals, Kobe got his BIG missing piece the Rockets still need. I'm not saying i want those players, im just making a point i dont care who is wearing a Rockets jersey when we win it all as long as he represents HOUSTON.

Trade Yao? You don't trade Yao. You trade everyone else in the league before you trade Yao.

The point is you have to be really lucky for a team to giveup a winning players (Ie Gasol). They dont just get traded and if you have to trade a star player to get a decent star player back, I dont see how thats going to help the team win.

The Mavs have a great supporting cast. If you give Tmac that type of cast Im sure it would be easy to get out of the first round of the playoffs. Who else besides Tmac stepped up during the playoffs?

Yao is more valueable to the nba because the money from international sales and marketing goes into the pot and is divided equally. The only money the owners don't have to share is parking, concession, luxury boxes and naming rights. If it wasn't the Toyota Center, it could be named ford center, dodge,gm,sony or whatever. I'm pretty sure Toyota didn't give up 180m for naming rights when most times its 1m per yr for naming rights.

On the other hand the value of the franchise has gone up, but that's normal. Yao is the nba cash cow moreso than the rox.

Oh hell, im all for Yao's recovery. Yao is my favorite player in the league. I defend him every day, HERE in Houston, i defend him from fans who talk mess about him all the time. But, people have already started feeling this duo has had enough time after last year. Saying that if we didn't pass the first round this year, it was done. Can we help it that our big 2 can't stay healthy for a full year? How long should we wait for it to happen?

The management are better at deciding the future, unfortunately it's all going to come down to Yao being such a cash cow that we keep him till he retires even if we never get out of the first round with him.

We got to and MUST keep Yao, regardless of his injury and his past, Yao still has plenty of gas left in his tank. So we must keep Yao, no questions ask. I believe the Rocket's will WIN THIS YEAR.

    Remember, "It's on US."

Those winning players don't just get traded, indeed. But, that is what we are missing now in this day and age of BIG 3. We can continue on this path with our duo hoping one day we draft a guy like Josh Howard or something but how likey is that? Put T-mac on a lot of teams and he finally gets out of the first round, but hes on our team and it looks like another one and done if we get there. He aint getting any younger, same for YAO.

That's great that you believe. I think we are going to the playoffs and putting up a fight but fall short UNLESS we play NO or Denver, in that case we advance. I just want to be realistic.

If another first round exit or even not making the playoffs, do you still think we MUST(as in at all costs even if an amazing deal came along) keep Yao? What about T-Mac?

Well I dunno I think if Scola and Landry continues their magnificient play I see the Rockets doing good this year. Rafer is stepping up more as well. Tmac is becomming more of a setup guy. Deke imo gives better defense then Yao but he lacks Offense. For sure though if the Roxs dont go past the first round this year they will do some major shakeups.

At some point, u have to evaluate ur team. If every season yao misses 28 games, how can u move forward? This will be the 2nd time in three yrs of a season ender.I'm not saying this yr, but if he misses 28 games again, then the team might have to move on.

NO or Denver match up are our biggest chance to advance, Let us hope! What will it take to have a match up with one of those 2 teams? What seeding seems most likely for this to happen?

Homecourt advantage > opponent imo. With HCA you should be playing a team that isnt that good. Well it didnt really work for the Mavs :)
