Hopefully Green can improve his defense with better coaching, he's young enough and he has the tools. Definitely not going to have the best role model for effort though if Harden comes back.
Anybody saying Scoot is small / undersized or that he’d not immediately be the alpha ball handler on this team is just giving away that they haven’t sat down and watched him play. He doesn’t have official measurements, and his listed height looks like it’ll be 6’3ish. His effective NBA size is bigger though. His arms and especially his hands are massive - he’s built like the Kawhi of 6’3 point guards. I’d bet his standing reach is higher than Jalen’s, and he’s got the biggest hands of any guard in the NBA. Imagine Eric Bledsoe but 1-2 inches taller. Scoot right now is a better table setter / floor general and passer than anybody on this team. There would be no logjam.
If we get Harden, I wonder about a lineup with all three, with Harden as a point forward. He was always better at guarding larger players anyway.
Henderson and Green will never compete for a title together, too small, but you still take him if you think he will be the best player available no questions asked. If both guys develop you can always trade whoever you deem to be the lesser star for a player who fits better. Porter is an absolute non factor. He's merely an expiring contract this offseason.
(Pistons article/Pistons POV but could very well apply to the Rockets) https://theathletic.com/4280151/2023/03/07/pistons-nba-draft-future/ Let’s talk about the 2023 NBA Draft and a potential scenario that very well could happen: the Pistons land the No. 2 pick. I’m going to give you four options to choose from and tell me what you would do at this point in time: —Just draft Scoot Henderson and figure it out with him, Cunningham and Ivey —Move back a spot, collect an asset or two and draft Brandon Miller —Draft Scoot Henderson and trade Ivey —Draft Brandon Miller No. 2 overall Vecenie: This is a no-brainer to me. I draft Scoot and play it out for a year. Miller is terrific, and I see him as a genuine No. 3 in this class. But Henderson is special. He went toe-to-toe with Wembanyama earlier this year and came out on top, with the Ignite winning the game against Metropolitans 92 behind Henderson’s 28 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Henderson was talking the whole game, on a mission to prove himself as the best player in the class. He’s a competitor, the kind of guy who lifts your level night-in, night-out. Wembanyama is going to go to No. 1 because you can’t pass on the 7-foot-4 guy who can block shots, shoot 3s and break players down off the bounce. But I completely buy Henderson coming into whatever organization he’s a part of and setting the tone for everyone in a positive way. And all of this is on top of the fact Henderson’s built like a strong safety and has the body control and balance of a running back. He separates from his man with ease and can break defenders in isolation. He’s outstanding in ball screens. He’s a terrific passer and playmaker. He’s a great finisher at the rim and a strong midrange scorer. I would expect he’ll have an impact similar to what Morant had as a rookie in Memphis. I don’t think you pass a guy like this up due to “concerns about fit.” The Pistons aren’t good enough to be making concessions like that at this point. They need to find superstars. They might have one or two in Ivey and Cunningham depending on how those two develop moving forward. But there is enough uncertainty about how good exactly the two of them are that you have to take the most talented player and give yourself more outs and find the true franchise-changer the Pistons need.
Clearly kpj is the least valuable one that you try and get that vet fit youd want but you don't trade Green yet unless its a big deal for a disgruntled star. If some of those pop up, we've got the firepower to put together 2 stars down in htine with scoot(or wemby)
KPJ should dedicate himself to playing defense. This will make him mature. He should be a wing off the bench.

I think Scoot is a superstar, he is short and a limited 3 point shooter but he has a killer mentality, great passer and his go to move…mid ranger. Scoot is a superstar and Jalen and Sengun are stars….maybe Jabari
And if we get Harden it’s a super logjam Scoot/Harden/Green will not fit together on the same lineup.
The issue really becomes where do you fit Josh Christopher in the starting lineup? In my view you draft Scoot then immediately trade him for Miller and assets. Lineup Christopher / Tity Miller / Green Eason / Porter Garuba/ Smith Sengun / Walker Now that team knows how to win.
To me, there’s not a logjam even if you sign Harden. Scoot / Green / Harden / Smith / Sengun KPJ / Tate / Eason / KMJ / Garuba You also have other young guys like TyTy, Christopher, Clippers’ pick, etc.
The #2 pick is a no-brainer, and would literally cause the opposite of a log-jam. Henderson would fill our biggest problem -- we don't have playmaking or a floor-leader who can make others better. KPJ can be traded or dropped. Doesn't matter. Scoot would help Jabari, Green and Eason out a ton. He would fit better with rim-running C than Sengun, but we'll figure it out.
