yea it is 5/$30 Mil. Thats actually about right. not enough to get u a star, but enough to bring in a signifigant piece. (i still cant believe fisher got $40 mil)
MLE still equals $6 mil. a year?? that's one heck of an exeception. swift should take that $ because i don't think he could get that in an open market. plus, i think houston is the best situation as far as minutes go too.
You won't have to worry, he isn't coming and I for one will be happy when he signs with another team. Not because I wouldn't want the guy but why get worked up for a guy that we don't have any chance for because: - He has never signed a big contract and wants to get paid. - He is with a Western conference team that wouldn't do a sign and trade with another conference rival. - Every other team in league has the MLE to offer and he is attracting interest from a lot of teams. Sometimes the best deal you make is the deal you don't make, I think that when we look back after he signs with the Hornets we'll say you know he wasn't that good.
after i saw the news on bobby simmons getting $9 million for 5 years for one year of production. we officially have no chance at stro. i have been corrected. hell, we can't get anyone who can contribute next season with these inflated salaries...i don't think i've been so pesimistic in a long time, but with the way teams are throwing money at role players i should be.
The saddest thing is even if he doesn't pan out, it'll still be a improvement to the present situation. Yes, even with all that contract space taken up.
