Chronicle is saying we must use the medical exception by Monday or lose it. I was hoping we could save it awhile and maybe something would come up by the trade deadline. Looks very likely we won't get to use it on anybody.
Chicago and Cleveland look liike the teams center heavy enough to do a trade, say Walt + exception for somebody like Doleac, Mihm or Brad Miller. But Gatling would be a good fit too. I also can see the Rocks letting it expire and save the money, 3.25 million is a chunk of change
Chicago would never part with Brad Miller this year -- they expect him to school Chandler and Curry. However, they might part with Dalibor Bagarac for Damon Jones because they have a plethora of centers and have need of a quick point while Jamal Crawford heals and Guyton learns more about playing point. Then the Rocks wouldn't need to used the med exception. Bagarac is big and he had some nice moments when I watched the Bulls play on TV last year.
