Rudy T favored ISO plays. If you had a problem with Francis' play during his time here, Rudy needs to take some blame too. That was his offense. Break down the defense, score or kick it out. Of course, most of it changed when we got Yao.

That's what Francis was good at when he was younger, a good one-on-one player. Remember the Iverson comparisons?

Yeah, I always thought he was a stronger version of Iverson that didn't shot as much. And to be honest, that style of play was our best option at the time. Just look at roster for those years.

IMO loyalty means alot. Rudy was the man and at the time Francis and Mobley were the go to guys. The team was nowhere as deep as these Rockets teams. These Rockets haven't accomplished anything that Rudy's teams didn't. Steve vs T-mac? Granted T-Mac is a upgrade over Francis, but still first round exits and with a better surrounding cast. JVG's team over Rudy's? Same results, with a much better cast. Rudy got his players to play with passion, JVG's team fell like a ton of bricks. Adelman's, yet to be seen. In Houston "Never underestimate the Heart of a Champion", all Rudy T and his Rockets teams play with passion. Unlike JVG's! Yes Rudy, You are the man! We love you and you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Wish you were here not in L.A. :(
