What if Suns demand 2 first round picks to take on Knight contract for Ariza?

    It could be dealing with any team (other than PHX) or a multi team deal and any player coming back …. It's still gonna take a pick to move Knight's contract …. and then whatever compensation is required to bring back a useful player.

    I guess that's an improvement over the two picks discussed to move Ryno's anchor …. err contract.


    I wouldn't fire that bullet for Ariza …. and I think they really miss him.

    Not it could be, it would have to be. And even then, it’s going to be pretty hard to appease both Phoenix and the team taking salary. If Ariza did end up here it would be through a buyout. We’re not trading for Ariza.

    I agree with the bottom line …. was just stating that the price of doing business with Knights contract is a first round pick …. regardless of trade partner / return

    Phoenix is expected to field trade inquiries on Ariza in an effort to secure at least one asset in return.

    According to CBA rules, this trade works.

    Rockets get Ariza

    Suns get
    George Hill
    Wizards 2nd round pick from Cavs
    3 million cash from Cavs

    Cavs get Knight and Rockets picks
