I predict once Mario gets some good coaching (something he apparently hasn't had) he will say to the fans of Houston "Turn Me Loose on the QB, because when I practice, I'm just Working for the Weekend".

This may be sad but must be sadi - some of us here who call ourselves Texans fans secretly wish that Mario Williams flop and the Texans be embarassed so that "they can have the last laugh". I could sense it from reading some of these posts in the last few days.

Disgusting if you ask me. You know who you are out there. Anyone who think that ways should stop disguising himself and come clean.

They could all be busts, and it would not shock me.

In fact the bust factor is a great argument for VY or RB over MW.

Both of them dominated at MAJOR college programs, where Mario did not at a 2nd tier one.

They certainly played in a MAJOR college conference.

So does Baylor...what is your point again?

Mine is they dominated the competition even when they were playing other big time schools....ala OK, USC, OSU..etc..etc...etc...

Vince and Reggie played well and dominated against everyone.

Look, I hope MW works out.....and he is the next LT.....In my opinion he was not the best choice for the franchise.

But, it is not my opinion that counts, and I admire Kubiak for sticking to his guns....

I'm not understanding yours. What does playing not dominating at "2nd tier" program in a major conference have to do with whether or not he's a good pick? Not many people argued that Mario Williams shouldn't have been a top 3-4 pick.

If OSU is a big-time program, so is NC State.

Any one in the 1st round can be a bust, there is no sure thing. You just want your team to look like the smartest one, and right about now, in the public's eyes, we don't look to bright.

That's because the public is more concerned with the flash and hype that is Reggie Bush (who will most likely go on to have a great career) instead of realizing that a) we needed a pass rushing DE far more than an RB and b) if Mario was there guy, it was take him at first or not get him at all.

after all you've posted, you wouldn't be surprised if VY is a bust? you've basically anointed him as the end-all, be-all player of the century.

VY and RB could be busts. I know college is no indicator of success in the NFL, but those guys dominated. MW dominated for a short time. The Texans are gambling on his potential. I'd rather get closer to a sure thing.

I think he is going to be great, my point has always been that you reach for the stars and take the guy who could be the greatest player, and have the biggest impact.

    Dare to be great..........

He could flame out, so could Bush, or Mario.

Mario not dominating competition far below what both Bush and Vince played against does not bode well, but we will just have to wait and see.

Mario is clearly a freakish athlete, let's hope he is as much of a winner as both Reggie and Vince have proven to be.

N.C. State's competition was better than who VY and Bush played against. You have to look no farther than the draft this past weekend where more ACC players than any other conference. In the first round alone, 9 non-Wolfpack ACC players were taken in the first round. One non-UT Big XII player was.

nah, i've thought about it, it's pretty much impossible that either will be busts.

hope this puts your concerns to rest.
