the time to have gotten... P.J was when he made indications he wanted to coach the Rox a few years back... good coach or not... there is a perception he is good... and who do you think would have been more likely to attract players? P.J or JVG....

He would be out of work, he would count his great assets and then go into the wildernes to get away from everything . For me it's suprising that he entered the PO. Look at Lakers roster. There is no suprise for me that he couldn't win a playoff series
Stan Van Gundy took rookie Wade and Lamar Odom to the playoffs (with limited contribution from an injured Butler). Phil hasKobe, Odom, Kwame Brown (isn't he suppose to magically fix headcases with zen?), Luke Walton, Jordan Farmar (the Michael Jordan of Jewish Players) etc. Of course he is in the playoffs. It's jus that Phil is over the hill and isn't good any more. He's like Vin Baker as a Celtic. Very sad.
