You can't go wrong to go either of them. They both got great potential.

Thanks for this thread. The main thing I'm taking away from it is the fact that the Rockets are one of the best young teams in the NBA.

Sure, where they rank is debatable...but it's unmistakable that they're amongst the best when it comes to youth + talent.

If you just went by experience of 4 years or less, you could also throw Scola in there. Where would that put them?

BB IQ isn't a talent, if that were the case Battier would be the most talented NBA player ever.

DH is more than just a tall dude, FYI ;)

We're the most promising team in the league without a young superstar waiting in the wings IMHO. We're inferior to Orlando, Chicago, OKC but better than memphis, pacers, and even teams like Clips/Wizards who have stars-in-the-making but questionable FO and ownership.

IQ is the software behind the talent. Without it DH would be like a high-leaping gorilla.

The difference between DH and Blake Griffin is their BB IQ.

I'd take any one of Durant,Rose,Griffin with the whole roster filled with players who belong in the D league than Rockets if that was the case...

    Terrence Williams (23)

First, it's important to note that I very quickly became lazy and only added from the year they were born rather than from the date to today's date. As such, I may be off as much as 11 months on one or two.

Second, I left off any team that didn't have more than a notable young player or two.

Conclusion: while our array of young talent is pretty solid considering where we've been drafting in years and actually compares pretty favorably with even some teams who have been perennial lottery dwellers, there are definitely more than a couple teams whose young talent I would readily take over ours.

Namely, the Thunder, Magic, Jazz, Bulls, Clippers, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Nets, Hornets, Kings and Wizards. That's 11 teams.

I would also consider trading our young talent for the young talent of the Hawks, Bucks and Pacers.

Yeah.... While I am pleased that Morey has been so successful with drafting and trading for promising young talent, this is kind of why I advocate tanking. The young talent we have isn't going to take us anywhere.
