We had players that could match up with theirs while they had nothing to matchup with us. We had Kenny and Sam running the point which is better than anythign the Bulls had and we had Mad Max and Clyde at the 2 who both played tough D and were as good at anyone at slowing Jordan down. Then we had Mario at the 3 who was a defensive whiz who could nutralize Pippen, At the 4 and 5 we had Thorpe and Dream who could take anyone the Bulls could've thrown at them probably to this day. When faced with a dominant front court, the Bulls were helpless. They never had to go through a team with two real forces in the paint until they got beat by the Magic whom we swept.

Well this thread is set to allow idiotic comments. Here is mine:

1.His airness in his prime years is a basketball God from another world. No one on this planet can stop him ( I am convinced on this again last night after watching the "Ultimate Jordan" DVD set again.)
2.Dream is his prime year is a super human playing at a level of another world.
    3.Basketball is a TEAM sport.

    1+2+3 = I don't know the answer of the original question. Nobody knows. :( :( :( :(

How do you account for the fact that in all 6 champs
    they NEVER faced the Rockets
or even a Team with a strong post presense

[Ewing isn't a strong post presense IMO]

And now that we've covered that, can we move on to the really important questions in basketball?

    Here's one :

    How would

The Original Greek Demi God Allstar Mixed Team
(featuring C - Hercules, PF - Charon, SF - Helios, SG - Nemesis and PG - Nike)

    have done against

    The Marvel Comics Super Heroes
(featuring C - The Incredible Hulk , PF - Spiderman, SF - Batman, SG - G.I. Joe, PG - Captain America),

    ????

    ;)

I never questioned Dream's greatness. Let me get that straight.

There's no doubt that Dream had the clear advantage over anything the Bulls put out there at center.

Unfortunately that is the only advantage the Rockets had over the Bulls (maybe PG too). Drex was a great player but even he was no where near Jordan's level. The advantage Jordan has over Drex at very least equals any advantage Dream had over any center the Bulls put out. No one on the Rockets could come even close to guarding Jordan. Same goes for the matchup of Elie and Pippen. Elie was a decent defender but even he was no match for Pippen in his prime. Remember this is not the same Pippen that joined the Rockets. During '94/'95 Pippen was in his prime. He got the Bulls to the ECF without Jordan. Jordan was on the team in '95 for 1/3 of the season. You can't expect Jordan to be at full strenth after only playing a 1/3 of the season. At PF Barkley wasn't even on the team yet Horry was. Horry is a clutch player but remember he would have had Rodman on him the whole game. Rodman is a better defender than Horry is a clutch player.

Either way you look at it the Bulls would still have won.

I saw a superfriends episode where superman really helped the gods out. I don't know about the marvel comic guys but the DC comic guys would have won it in 6.:D

I try not to put anybody on this board down but that must be the most r****ded serious statement I heard in months. How can anyone say that the advantage Jordan had over a top 50 player is equal to the advantage the Dream ( top 5 five center of all time) over Will Perdue or Luc Longley or whoever they had.

Pippen even said when he left the rockets is that the only thing he knew before he came to houston is that the Rockets kicked their asses everytime the played. The bulls teams were great but they never matched up well against the Rockets.

If Sampson hadn't suffered a career-ending injury and wiggins and lloyd hadn't got suspended for drug use, then the bulls wouldn't have had any championships! So what's your point. In fact, it took the greatest team of all time, IMO, to beat a young sampson and dream - the '86 celtics.

Maybe not now but he was definately a strong post presence back then. Didn't they also face Zo when he was with the Hornets? Can't forget about Mutombo when he was with the Hawks either.

Drex was far from being the caliber of player he was with the Blazers when he joined the Rockets. In his prime it may have been a different story but by the time he joined the Rockets he was but a shell of his former self.

As for Pippen's comments, what would you expect him to say ... he had just joined the Rockets.

Nah, that team has more than enough hyperathletic types with Hulk, Batman and Spiderman. What it needs is a great shooter - GI Joe... :D

Nice to see that revisionist Jordan lackeys are still trying to pretend that the Bulls '95 playoff run ended with someone other than Jordan himself lying on the floor crying like a woman for a foul after Penny picked his pocket. Jordan was there. He was WELL rested from his vacation and he was beaten by the Magic who were swept by the Rockets. Case closed.

Please, stop embarrassing yourself by denying the facts.

In any case, Rockets Champs have absolutely no astericks attached.

Because "What if "s don't decide champs. Otherwise, we can also talk things like "What if Shaq played in 95 like he played in last two years. Who would win in 95?" etc. It makes little sense.

It's also nice to see fans remain loyal to their teams regardless of the obvious facts.

And he came back eating pretty much everyone alive the next year.
What's wrong with the way a woman is crying? Tell me. Please.

He said this when he was pissed off and was on his way to Portland. To liberally paraphrase Pippen " I didn't know Dream and Barkley were so lazy before I came here, all I knew was that they kicked our asses the two times we saw them a year."
