Gortat. If Orlando is looking to shed some payroll, his contract will be one of the first places they look.
that would be more of a deadline trade than anything else. we need someone when the season starts bcuz Yao can't hold it down on his own.
I don't think teams have much incentive to keep players like Gortat until the trade deadline. With star players at least they help sell tickets.
Joe P was always a nice player. Honestly I dont understand why we dont go after this go anyway. He is a pretty good center. Miller and Pryzbilla are about the same in skill level. Except Miller having more offense and Joe more defense.
Honestly I think we should go after no one. The only people that would make our team better and have an impact are already taken (Bosh) and guys like Joel Anthony/Joel Pryzbilla (Joel...lol) wouldn't make much of an impact, our team is already as good as it's gonna get without another top tier player, going after second tier players wouldn't do much.
Brad Miller is taking way too long in deciding where he wants to go. Who would have thought Miller would be the one of the last free agents to sign with a team. Hopefully he makes his decision by the end of this week.
I'd like to see if Gortat is available. We could definitely use him. Otherwise, what do y'all think of Biedrins? Is he available?
I fear we screwed the pooch by not taking Whiteside. My hunch is we'll either get Miller, or we'll be watching backup-center-by-committee like we watched all of last year.
