i dont think hill would get the rockets anything significant. Teams have probably taken notice about his non stint in NY, and his poor summer league performance with the rockets. and jeffries is the type of player and contract that you'd go for only at the trade deadline. a battier + hill trade however would probably net you something.
His been doing pretty well with Wall in Summer League, I'm not sure if the Wizards would trade him... But he would look good in a Rockets Uniform
I said it 3 yrs ago, mbenga. Big,strong, tough defender, cheap and still under 30. Hard worker, infectious personality. When bynum or gasol has been hurt, he's played well. If the rox are content on keeping yao and keeping his minutes down, mbenga fits the bill especially with so many offensive minded players on the rockets. He made vets minimum last yr,but if the rockets offered say 2m per and 5yrs, they would have to ever have to wsorry about yao's backup or minutes.
Hill disappointed in the SL. I wanted to see the Hill that was swatting Boston's junk all over the place like last season. If the SL Hill is the real Hill then there's no way he can give us enough defense only on the block and we gotta get a real back-up cuz Pat Pat isn't a rim protection either. And Morey exactly that they're looking for a 'rim protecting' big man.
They really shouldn't try and force Hill to be a 5, when it is obvious that he would probably do better at the 4.
no way the Wizards give up Mcgee for that. He is leading the SL in rebounds at 12.5 and has put on extra weight. He looks real good with Wall in the SL and he has the potential to eventually be a 11 & 10+ guy who leads the league in blocks for years to come. McGee is their future at the 5. but hollins is more realistic. he would be a great addition.
wiki Earl Barron "On April 2, 2010, he was then signed to a 10-day contract by the New York Knicks.[10] On April 6, 2010, on his second game with the Knicks, he recorded a career high 18 rebounds against the Boston Celtics. His previous career high was 8 rebounds. He also scored 17 points in the game for his first double-double in his NBA career.[11] Five days later, he recorded his second ever double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in a game against his former team, Miami Heat.[12] A day later, the Knicks signed him for the remainder of the season.[13] He averaged 33 minutes per game in 7 games with the Knicks, with a double-double average of points and rebounds per game (11.7 ppg and 11.0 rpg)."
maybe he might be on a non-guarantee contract like Harris and Johnson. heard his name a lot at the end of the season. he only played like 6 games, but is worth a look.
Try and get Thabeet from Memphis. It would probably tank giving something up to get him Rockets get Thabeet Memphis gets Anderson & Hill Salaries match and we get a true center that could be a long term answer.
He has a nice jumpshot. This is his debut against the Celtics. Looks like he was owning Perkins and Garnett. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VFholGdH-2k&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VFholGdH-2k&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
