I really think this belongs in the hangout, but...

It absolutely is about whether or not people are religious. The captilized "God" is the proper name of a specific deity, IF you believe in that deity. The lower case "god" can refer to Greek gods, the god of thunder or the deity Yahweh or Jesus if you want to reference them without worshipping them. I don't think Sane intended to push his beliefs on others, but correcting the capitilization (or lack thereof) of this word does exactly that.

Hakeem ain't coming back to hold Yao's jock. This team is trying to build off of the future not live off of the past. Why do you think they let him go and embarrass himself in the first place?

    Wake up.

I agree with you Mr. Jones, but another major theme of all great tragedy is the redemption, which comes with the recognition of the tragic flaw even at the moment of death, after the fall. Like Old School said, Hakeem has embarrassed himself and I'm sure Toronto, even though it's not NY or Philly, wasn't anywhere as forgiving of his horrible season last year as Houston would've be. If he came back here, in any capacity, it would would be as a hero.

Like I said, my source isn't in the organization but someone very closely associated. I like the idea anyway, whether or not it ever comes to pass.

    backwardhead,

I am indeed called Jason. Do we know each other?

This idea of redemption, I fear, is where the comparison breaks down. I don't just find it unlikely, I find it impossible to believe that Hakeem will be back. He didn't want to be here as the starter because the offense wasn't running through him anymore. Think he'd like to come off the bench in an offense that isn't running through him anymore? Hakeem should have retired a Rocket and also he just should have retired. He wouldn't come back and management wouldn't have him back.

I can't beleave that you guy' are talking about trading a young durable center, that could atleast get you 8 points 10 rebounds per game, for a old hall of fame center that can't even stay healthy for 10 games.
