I have never been impressed by Bynum. Too erratic and injury prone. The big guy Thunder should be targeting is that Lopez kid on the Nets. Thunder also need one more scorer to play alongside Durant to take them to elite status.
Why target a player that another team has no intention of trading. Complete waste of time. They may as well target Dwight Howard.
brb! making a thread with the poll: What if Howard was traded to the OKC Thunder? A: Yes B: 42 D: They'll make the playoffs E: I don't understand F: Shut up G: No, you shut up! H: What? I: You skipped C? J: First! (doh, nevermind)
1) It's the Nets. 2) Lopez isnt a franchise player that is untouchable. 3) It's the Nets. 4) He is on a rookie contract. He should be a FA in due time. No one says "I want to be a NJ Nets when I grow up."
The Nets are not trading Brook Lopez this off-season unless they get Kevin Durant which Oklahoma City would not do.
Whatever. Teams don't trade players like Brook Lopez when they are still under their rookie contracts, even the Nets. Especially good centers. I never said he was a franchise player, but he IS untouchable and won't be going anywhere. I would think the Thunder will address their issue at center this summer instead of waiting 2 more years on a pipe dream.
They've already got their long term C in Ibaka. He'll probably turn out to be like Camby or Deke more or less. What they need is another banger down low at the 4/5. Green at the 4 is a weird setup, unless Green develops a reliable 3 pointer and becomes a stretch 4.
if they got a legit center, they could be contenders. kristic is absolutely horrible. cant make layups or an open jumper.
I could see the Thunder trying to sign Tyrus Thomas, who I believe is a free agent this summer. That way they keep the current team intact.
bynum is overrated/overpaid. lakers inflate his value. i would rather have hayes/hill than bynum. as someone else mentioned hill would actually fit well with the thunder.
