This explains everything. I know it might be too much to ask, but take some time to review and see if there might be anything you see as positive: http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/executive-orders http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/presidential-memoranda http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/proclamations http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/signed-legislation http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/pending-legislation Here's one of my favorites: http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press...ers-concerning-regulatory-planning-and-review
Obama inherited a large deficit. How much have Obama policies added to the deficit? Not nearly as much as Bush's policies did in turning a surplus into record deficits.
Not to mention putting two wars on a credit card and then using accounting tricks to keep the costs out of the budget.
My memory may be failing, but -- if you are accurate, which would be an historic first -- there were 111 more Democrats who voted for the Bush initiative than Republicans who voted for the Obama bealth care initiative (zero).
So was it memory systems failure or just plain old lying when you said they "heavily favored" the Iraq War? Don't worry about giving an honest answer, you'll still find somebody to play with I'm sure.
Yeah, Republicans have openly said (in effect) that they wouldn't vote for apple pie if Obama proposed it. Just an idiotic comparison. I don't remember democrats taking that stance with Bush (unfortunately).
I think there was enough resistance for the Republicans to consider the nuclear option. Unfortunately, I don't remember the details either.
"They understand that if Barack Obama was somehow able to cure hunger in the world, the Republicans would blame him for overpopulation. They understand that if somehow Barack Obama could somehow bring about world peace, they would blame him for destroying the defense industry. In fact, they understand that if Barack Obama has a BLT sandwich tomorrow for lunch they would try and ban bacon. But that’s not what America wants." - Alan Grayson, October 2009
