I just wish we could have seen this lineup:

    Scola
    Artest
    Ariza
    Battier
    Mcgrady

    Would have been interesting.

That would be something. Ariza 6'8, Scola 6'9, Battier 6'8, McGrady 6'8, Artest 6'7. You could really wreak havoc on someone's defensive scheme with a size matchup like that.

Actually if they played with 3 or 4 basketballs I could see that team being pretty effective.

Agreed, especially on summer league play carrying any weight going into actual NBA gametime. I was just replying to RedRedemption's position that Taylor might not be ready to fill Wafer's role when I was under the impression that's essentially why we drafted him in the first place. That Taylor's NBA readiness, underrated athleticism and talents as a natural scorer were supposed to translate into immediate playing time thereby giving us roster flexibility if Wafer walked. Kind of funny that based of summer play alone, Chase looks much more NBA ready than "that guy".

If we go to war with what we got now:

    I'd start:
    AB
    Budinger
    Ariza
    Scola
    Andersen

    2nd unit:
    KL
    JTay
    Battier
    Landry
    Chuckster/Dorsey

Maybe Barry or White Flight will earn some minutes?

The only question about this line up is: "How good is Aaron Brook's alley-oop throwing skills."

Matter of fact, if I remember correctly, he can catch them too. We'll let T-Mac throw em.

Yea Baller, Chase did look good. If he can play aggressive getting into the lane with adequate defense, he should get some clock. He seems more like a three than a two and the SF position for the rockets is stacked. So will see. Apparently the team puts alot of emphasis on getting to the bucket especially with Yao being out this year and I think Taylor has the physical tools and mindset to do that. Alot for both Budinger and especially Taylor coming from a small college program, is going to come down to learning the NBA game. Im pulling for both of them. I agree with you about Taylor not being totally ready in filling in for the loss of Wafer, but in what I saw of him he looks like a more complete player.

He clearly is not putting Landry in front of Scola, he's saying that Landry in a speed lineup would be fun to watch.

With that starting line-up the Rockets are getting blown out before the 2nd quarter starts. Im sorry but Budinger did good in Summer League. Don't think that is going to carry on when the REAL GUYS play.

You might be right, but I do hope you're wrong. If Budinger sucks defensively, Battier will do at the two. I'd like to see how Budinger's amazing SL skills translate when he plays against--and with--NBA players. Heck, what we got to lose? Maybe we won't dig too deep a hole before T-Mac's back and playing for money.

More like waaaaaaaay worse offensively and about even, if not worse, defensively. The 2001/2002 Kings were 3rd in the NBA in Offensive Rating and 6th in Defensive Rating. Last year, we were 14th in O-Rating and 4th in D-Rating. Replace Yao with Andersen/Landry/Hayes/whoever, and unfortunately those rankings can only get worse.

I think like the lakers in the playoffs, tmac (healthy) will draw the double team and create opportunities for other players to hit the open shot (like ariza in the playoffs)
