What Id like the Texans to do on draft

    Ok understand, but according to Swoly these two attributes mean nothing to an offensive lineman's success. That is ridiculous. If that was the case we could clone 300 6 ft 3 to 6 ft 6 300-325 # linemen who are blockheads with no speed.

    This just in ... they would not be very successful. This formula maybe works in the 50s to 70s when linemen were not thought of as athletes and did not train year round. That's the only point I'm making, Buck.

    Speed kills ... on both sides of the ball.

    Greater mass plus speed equals total carnage equals great football. :D

    I'd be even more interested in how quick his feet are backing off the line into a pass protection position or seeing how fast he is out of his stance to 5 yards while maintaining a blocking position.

    Quick feet and keeping leverage are more important than speed at any distance for a Left OT.

    True, a 10 yard dash is more important for a lineman than a 40 yard dash...however, I'd be willing to bet that the guy that runs a 4.7 is quicker than the guy that runs a 5.3.
