Man, Surf, don't ever invite me to your place... pythons, lion-hunting dogs, etc. Geez, you've got a freakin' zoo!! And you live in Fort Worth?! ------------------ "I was arrested for sexual assault involving an elderly man and I was out in 35 minutes." -- Achebe - programmer by day, geriatric ass grabber by night. Surfguy, It was probably the owner's fault, because they just left the dogs out and never payed any attention to them. And who said anything about YOUR dogs attacking me? I understand that the preconcieved notion about some dogs is wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that there are agressive dogs out there. I wasn't trying to say anything bad about that particular breed of dog. ------------------ [This message has been edited by tacoma park legend (edited March 14, 2001).]
Woah....those last 2 sentences were supposed to be humorous. I think now is the time where I say "Smithers, release the hounds!" ------------------
I was attacked by my Sheet while sleeping in Bed last night. I woke up during the middle of the night and it was wrapped around me like a Boa, man it was so scary I had to cry out to my mummy to help me. ------------------ "Repression never did me any harm (I finally ceased to include "stop masturbating" as one of my guilt ridden New Year's resolutions, but that's a different topic)." I just want to add an adendum to moe's post. Most rotties and dogs that attack are the result of their owners not taking care of them and giving them the love they deserve. When a rottie is kept outside, all the time and barely given any attention they take on totally different personalities. I own a Rottie and she has never bit or charged. Rotties need to be loved. If you are considering a rottie, please make sure you can give it all the love and attention it deserves. It's sad to see those rotties on car lots that are "protecting" property. Rotties need much love and attention. Leaving them to their own devices does not make a responsible owner.. There are no bad dogs only bad dog owners. sorry... had to rant. rH ------------------ Homecourt will always be 'The Summit' to me!! Until we move downtown!! I wanna say something about rotties too. JayZ's family has three and about to get their fourth. They are wonderful dogs that get A LOT of attention and are very sweet and very well trained. As far as I'm concerned they make great pets as long as they are properly taken care of, just like any other pet. My only complaint is that they get so excited when JZ and I come over that they like to jump on me. They out-weigh me so it kinda sucks getting knocked over! ------------------ Poopy!
When I was seven I laid down under a pecan tree in my grandparent's back yard and fell asleep. When I woke up I was covered from head to toe in fire ants. Now the strange part is, while I was asleep, they did not bother me. But once I woke up and discovered my predicament, I panicked, that's when the stinging began. I was dowsed with a water hose by my grandmother and rushed to the hospital. Needless to say the docs were amazed that I didn't go into shock or die. ------------------ Everything you do, effects everything that is.
I once had an interesting encounter with a rather large shark. When I was about 5 years old, my father and I were snorkeling near a reef in St. Thomas and we were circled two or three times by about a 7 foot shark. I didn't see it at first cause I was looking down but my father tapped me on the shoulder and I finally saw it. Pretty awesome experience! ------------------ You cannot stop Moochie Norris, you can only hope to contain him.
My wife's bird attacks me at least once a week. Little b*stard! I got attacked by a Great Dane when I was a kid. No major damage, though - just a bruise that took up most of my thigh. ------------------
