it certainly seems to surprise the OP... I, however, am ever aware and conscious of people's/humanity's most revolting yet most enduring failings and shortcomings... this.. "morbid curiosity" that feeds a certain inherent bestial need... requirement for tragedy to come before appreciation.. general lust, be it for body or for blood.. perception that the greater the suffering the worthier the art... the grotesque sanitization of all this that leads to the all too familiar desensitization.. so they can't be bothered to actually learn and improve from it.. etc etc... which explains my forgiving manner..........
So this explains why I like Hostel and Saw so much. OK not that much, but they're interesting to watch. The Cube is also good.
They probably didn't slow down because they didn't want to get caught in an explosion. It actually ticks me off when people hit the brakes on the freeway and slow down 20 mph so they can see "what the wreck is all about". They back up traffic for days and nearly cause other wrecks.
