DaDakota would have a heart attack if Larry Brown signs with the Rockets. VSpan would have zilch chance of even sitting on the bench, let alone playing.

Brown is a champion. Chauncey can thank LB for transforming his game from chucker to what he is now, a smart consistent top PG in the league.

LB would drill Tmac into more than a passer and jumpshooter.

Assistant coach has no clue how to develop players.

We're sitting here, about to play game 7, and we're talking about Stromile. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about Stromile, not a current Rocket, but we're talking about Stromile. Not a current Rocket player that we've seen die for and play every game like it's his last but we're talking about Stromile man. How silly is that?

We're talking about Stromile man. We're talking about Stromile. We're talking about Stromile. We're not talking about a good player. We're talking about Stromile. When you come to the arena, and you see the Rockets play, you've seen them play right, you've seen the Rockets give everything they've got, but we're talking about Stromile right now.

you could coach a different offense. That's how he could be a better coach.

a missed shot is amissed shot. whether in a triangle, motion or whatever.

this offense has 2 viable offensive weapons. its hard to do much with that. If you look at it from a non-rocket fan perspective, its pretty impressive that they have been this successful.

And he is hopless when that happened again and again.
All our lost is not because our D it is because our O.
Everyone know our shooters are not consistent, but do not prepare for it, that's really sucks.

Yes, as a fan, I know that if you count on the shooters, at least you should have some players who can hit to backup your shooters or you need have some O plan to adjust for cold shooters.
4 years, still same same, again and again.
    JVG sucks

A poster automatically loses credibility when he starts clamoring for Novak and Vspan to get playing time. Hopefully they'll be of some service in the future, but this year...you gotta be kidding. Were we watching the same team?

I Hate Larry Brown, but Larry Brown plays creative players, always has.....he would probably embrace V-Span.

    Everyone should !!

Can someone tell me one thing please? When our 3's are not falling, and Jazz are closing hard on 3-point lines, why didn't JVG put Snyder in and take the ball to the rim? Snyder did that before he got injured early in the season. Rafer did a couple floaters last night and it was very effective. In stead of posting Yao up 1-on-1 and everyone else watch him getting striped or called for an offensive foul, why didn' JVG tell Yao to kick out, then either re-post, or the guard drives. Snyder tried a oucple 3's in this series and were never even close. Isn't it JVG's job to tell him to do the right thing? Instead, JVG doesn't play him any more. If only Tony Parker played on this Rox team! His tear-drop will indeed drop some tears from the Jazz players.

I think u and I are having communication issues ;) I never said play novak or Vspan right now, I mentioned that they should've been developed, in which case they could've contributed right now.......but its a moot point now.....What can we do now??? Hope we survive game 7 against a not so good Jazz team......

I think personally that the refs have been biased, favoring the Jazz just like they did for Stockon and Malone. Rules have changed in the NBA but the Jazz continue to commit many fouls that are not being called. The Jazz players complained to the refs, while the Rockets players don't (I think if they do, they might get a T, seeing how same strange fouls are being called against them). Do you guys remember a clear example when Battier collided with another Jazz player who was trying to steal the ball but yet a foul was called against Battier instead? Most of the fouls against Yao have been badly called by the refs. Houston would have won by even bigger margins in the games won, had it not been for biased officiating. This plays on the minds of our players. The Rockets need a slasher to take the ball to the basket consistently. Until we do that it will be very difficult for us to win the series. T-Mac could do that but not consistently because of his back issue. Let Hayes play against Boozer!
Finally I have some serious concerns with Van Gundy! He has failed to use Novak and V-Span during the season. These guys could have made a difference by adding some dimensions to our bench. It is too late now to use them. Van Gundy is limited offensively and therefore we see our players making the same mistakes. It reminds me of Rudy-T days when everything depended on The Dream. We have some good pieces that are not being utilized: Battier and Howard could make a difference tonight if plays are called for them. Let's hope that the refs will do a better job.
Best of everything to the Houston Rockets.

im not a van gundy guy, i believe any coach could with 50 games with tmac and yao. i know some might say, but yao was out 32 games...well for that 32 game stretch that yao was out...mutombo played like a top 5 center. he avg 10 pts and more than 12 rebs 3 to 4 blocks, in this day and age thats top 5 to me. juwan was giving you 15 and 8 a night. With that production and tmac carrying the team, any coach can win 50. What has van gundy done that should warrant an extension?? He doesnt know how to develop players. it doesnt matter who cd brings in, van gundy will only play his guys. id rather get a young upbeat coach who is creative that can teach these old dogs some new tricks. what i see in the rockets is they play too tight. i want them to play loose, be more energetic, stop playing like robots. van gundy has these guys thinking too much and because he has no real offensive system, when the game gets tight, the rockets offense becomes too predictable...either dump it in to yao or isolate tmac. tmac getting 16 assist was because of tmac, not van gundy's offense. that was just simple basketball....drive and dish, i want to see a motion offense that allows all 5 players on the court to be a threat at anytime. And yao is not shaq, the rockets shouldnt just dump it in and let him get hacked all night. yao can shoot from 18, he can come off picks, id like to see him used the same way hakeem was used. hakeem could face up from 18 or bang down low....dont let yao become 1 dimensional!

Other than calling our two best players **WHO HAHS** It is fact that you have said everything we have needed for this to be an A+ season. I should care that I have missed every game we played in Utah, but reading about it doenst look fun, so i was driving listening to Sports Radio 610 and I could swear JVG was trying to ruin us because he is in dyer need of an offensive coordinator, because he is clueless on how to utilize the talent talent that CD gave him....Not the best role players on Earth, but certainly good enough to beat Utah....

He may be the worse offensive strategist in the NBA....

No use of the High Post with Yao to utilize the PASSING he has as he can see over he defender or the deaf shooting touch he has...also helps Snyder get on the board or McGrady/Battier get an easy basket and if the defender wants to slack off, then have Yao bust the jumper, which will be good 70% of the time since he is the best foul shooter on the team!!!! This crap has puzzled me since DAY 1 of this JVG campaign!

I dont get paid diddly squat and I can see this....Give me $5 MILLION a year and I would have to be blind or some kind of MORON ala S. Jackson of teh GS Warriors

If its that bad then don't f*cking watch. Its your kind (fair-weather) that are complete counterproductive to what the Rockets are trying to accomplish.
