You know what's scary? Alston is the number TWO option on this team... This kind of stuff would make people's head explode at the beginning of the season. Rafer Alston... top 10 PG?
Yea, what's most impressive is his drives through the paint. He looks like an all-star with his penetration just taking it past everyone. The long jumpers and 3's falling is just the icing on the cake.
Now all we need is for Rafer to develop his leaping ability. Has anyone ever seen Rafer dunk the ball? If there's a reason for him shooting floaters all the time, this has to be it.
With is play lately, Rafer Alston has to be considered a top 10 guard. His assist numbers right now are better than the averages Jason Kidd puts up in Dallas. Kidd isn't the same player in that Dallas system that he was with the Nets.
You know how in baseball, when a pitcher is on his way to a perfect game, everyone just sits away from the pitcher, never getting in his way, not talking to him...thats what we should be doing. He's playing ridiculous right now, don't mess it up.
I don't think steroids help one shoot the ball better. Anyway, he's been playing out of mind recently.

Believe it or not, Rafer is now shooting 41% from the field (rounded) after 60 games. That is terrible for the vast majority of PGs and players, in general. It is great for Rafer.
that's true for his 3pters, he will come back to 37,38% eventually, but I do think he has changed the way he shoots those floaters, they're still ugly, make me cringe, but start to fall more often than not.

Hell! A 41% Rafer is better than the under 38% Rafer that we had before. It's like Rafer is back in Toronto, when he was 41% FG and 37% 3pt.
