i've read most of the post carefully and i have to say this is a very inspiring debate. however, adoo you seemed to be getting to extreme and biased... now we all know you a huge fan of JVG but maybe we should give some patience to Rick Adelman and then decide.

I know for sure Rick was a big influence on picking Brooks. He was at home in Oregon, so he got watch Brooks play collegeball.

Landry is more likely a Morey move because I don't think we were expecting to get a high 2nd rounder... or maybe we were?

And with Dorsey, we have no idea. Except from the few interviews with Morey that said he's a great defender...

Yao from Jeff to Rick is pretty much the same Yao, except the point that Durvasa has pointed out already.

Tracy from Jeff to Rick is definitely not the same. Tracy is on a decline and it is obivous. Now, I think that when your best scorer (was) declines to the point where he consistently scores below 15 points, you better have some other talent to get the points. I say that what we lose from Tracy's decline is pretty much even with what we get from the talent we got.

Tracy doesn't have the 13 points in 33 seconds anymore. He doesn't have that pick and roll shooting like agaisnt the Dallas Game 2. He doesn't have the health/motivation/determination to take it to the hole every single time.

But... we are still winning due to the talent we have received. Now I'm sure if either of the coach that had all the talent AND a healthy T-Mac, both of them would have done great.

I'm going to give Rick's offense a chance to work before saying what's different. We still haven't gotten Battier, and we are not sure what our starting lineup is, coming in the playoffs. I still believe we can have some movement in our starting lineup, even if Yao has the ball. Yao is a great passer, but our shooters are not really dead on all the time. And if we can have some movement/cutters, that will open up the passing lanes for a easy two.
