We have one-punch laws here in Australia that'll see you with a lengthy jail term for that... Not the same in the US?

Thought one-punch was if you killed a guy, looks like he came out fine for me.

Then again, Austrialia (or at least NSW) has turned into a totalitarian police state so idk

Screaming at a baby is not cool. Pouring beer on said d******d who screamed at a baby, then punching said d******d twice, just brings us down to d******d's level.

Moral of the story: don't be a dick. Take the high road; think with the head that sits on your shoulders.

You haven't been a TEXAN for very long, have you? We still tend to take care of ourselves (self reliant) instead of relying on others. We're good old boys until you cross the line.

The only difference between us is we didn't hand over the means to defend ourselves.

A Harvard law professor, said Ted Cruz was his smartest student ever.

Ted Cruz stood up for Jenifer Ertman and Elizabeth Peña family when shady politics was about to intertwine. Regardless of his politics, I gained respect for that dude.

    https://www.educationviews.org/ted-cruz-horrendous-murders/

Hence do folks dislike him because he communicates his side of the story very effectively?

No, we hate him because he's a sleazy politician that really has no moral compass. He also blew the guy that called his wife ugly.

My best friend knows Cruz very well from his time at the AG's office. Knows him well enough to have his personal number and have Cruz pick up the call instead of sending it to voicemail. He told me that Cruz is definitely the smartest guy in the room, and nobody likes him because he really doesn't have any scruples. He will be willing to do and say anything to get what he wants and it's always for personal gain. Personally(not something my buddy said), that screams sociopath.

I dislike him because he’s a typical republican, cares more about Israel than he ever cared about America.

I'm not endorsing Cruz here just so my point isn't misconstrued but many Democrats support Kamala Harris who is massive scumbag

Yeah I hear you there. The Evangelicals insistence in trying to fund the rebuilding of the third temple of Solomon at all cost….

Why are you bringing up Harris? She doesn't claim to be an Astros fan.

First of all, political stuff doesn't belong here period. You guys do that. Not me. So, if I choose to call Harris a scumbag (which she is) I can. Anyways, this is pointless and a waste

Since I haven’t lived in Houston In a long time I’m frequently the other guy at games. I’ve worn my Stros jersey at many other stadiums. The only time I’ve had trouble was in Milwaukee someone threw a bottle at me. They missed widely as I was several rows away and it was a plastic bottle.

I get the passion of fandom and I don’t mind getting ribbed or jeered at. That said even with if the White Sox Fan was an Ahole who sat in the wrong seats and yelled at a kid. He was in his way out when the beer was dumped on his head and then he was punched. Just let security take him out and enjoy the victory.

    Good catch.

Should be getting “ribbed or jeered at”. Yes I would be pretty pissed getting robbed at an MLB park

Born and raised. We can "take care of our own" without dropping to the lowest common denominator in the process.

And, the whole "he screamed in a baby's face so he deserved it" thing is a bit disingenuous when noting the timing. Dude was clearly drunk and being led away from the scene, lunged at another clearly drunk guy who poured beer on him, then took two right crosses from a third drunkard. The baby was at least ten feet away by this time; this was no "defending the defenseless." This was dickheads being dickheads.

I like to think we're better than this in Houston.

All I know is years ago you rarely saw this kind of crap at sporting events. And it's my belief that justifying it leads to more of it. Context or not, this is wrong.

There are cross arguments going on here. One has context and the bad egg got thrown out of the park as he should. They other thinks if it's not on the tape, is didn't happen and the guy was just a casual fan wearing the wrong jersey.

Either way, thuggish behavior is uncalled for. But calling security does not fix immediate threats and we are not COWARDS in Texas, trained to show a yellow streak when confronted by evil.
