Chandler will be fine... coaches need to rest Chandler a little bit, otherwise he will be worn out at playoff time.
Players go thru slumps, injuries, moody, unmotivated, so on n so on. Its the coach responsibilities to manage. Injured? Rest them. Unmotivated? Sit them.
Chandler's been shooting badly for awhile now. Doesn't help that he hardly ever gets benched for anything.
Others have said it - He's playing way too many minutes. I like McHale, but my one knock on him is that he is wearing his starters down to the ground. I know you want to win but it's better to have a lower seed and have your starters ready for battle in the playoffs than having a few more wins and HCA but losing that advantage due to key players being worn out. Take a look at the starters minutes for all the other top teams in the league - Pacers, Heat, SAS, OKC, Clippers. Most of their starters don't go over 36 mpg and some barely get over 30.
some of his shots looked reaaal tired tonight. mchale running him into the ground earlier in the season is taking its toll. let's just hope he doesn't pick up an injury.
He stepped up in the playoffs last year, so I'm not that worried about him. We will miss Delfino, especially if Garcia disappears. Harden did okay, I'm not too worried about him. It was the first playoff series where the other team game planned around him and it had to be against his old team. Now we have Dwight now so that should make it easier on him. I don't expect much from anyone else. If Hamilton plays well in transition, stays aggressive, defends, and knocks down most of his open threes then that's great. Can't say I'm not worried about our PFs, Jeremy, Asik and the rest of our bench. Let's just hope we avoid the Clippers in the first round. I do think OKC will be first by the end of the season. If they end up playing Memphis they will be tired by the WC semifinals.
with that flat as rodney mccray line drive shot it's hard to see him ever becoming a dead eye shooter over the course of a full season. but he should be giving more effort on the defensive end in general, and especially when he's in such a bad shooting slump. he's still a very nice player to have, but i doubt his impact will ever compare with what rondo would've brought to the table.
Well, he is top 5 in the league (Along w/ Harden), in minutes played per game at 37.7 min. Maybe McHale needs to manage his mins better, especially with playoffs comin around the corner...
After many long dubious flights, he decided to start reading. It didn't take long before he read he was going out the door for Carmelo Anthony and because 90% of what happens to us is dictated by the subconscious mind, he slowly went nuts without being able to answer what happened himself.
Lots of rockets fans have unrealistic expectations for Chandler Parsons. He's not a allstar but a really good role player at best. Rondo however is a allstar level player but we didn't make that trade. So I'm not disappointed in Parsons at all because he is what I expected him to be... even right now.
Yep. This current Rockets team is built to also be able to execute in the halfcourt pace game as well as the fastbreak pace. However Mchale's strategy offensively in the halfcourt pace is non existent... just one on one nothing that makes it easier for scorers to score or to help certain players strengths shine more than their weaknesses.
Good defense figures him (i.e. his tendencies) out, he is your good average role player like Dudley or Dunleavy. One-on-one, he cannot beat any defender.
