Will, how is it that you can come in here after weeks of being out and immediately regain your form as the best poster on the board? Simply amazing. I love this BBS and this forum is one of my favorites. I think it might be of benefit for all of us to take a deep breath and step away from our keyboards for a moment now. Breathe in...... Breathe out........ Good...... Ahhhhhhh.......... In the recording studio (where I spend almost as much time as I do staring at this box), everyone has a tendency to get "tired ears" from the constant listening to one song over and over again. It is the price you pay for making good music. I think there can also be such a thing as BBS fatigue. We all start to lose our wits about us after a while and especially after an emotionally exhausting political process. In defense of my good friend Clutch, he takes an awful lot of **** to run this board both on this BBS and via emails. I got a small taste of that with SOR and I can tell you that YOU DON'T WANT IT. It is no fun to get emails like, "Why do you hate Dream?" or "Why can't I see the site?" or "Why don't you do more of this or that?" It gets VERY VERY old. The same goes for this type of crap on the boards. It gets tiresome. If someone calls you out and you own the site, you have to balance your extreme distaste for the post and desire to lash out with what is in the best interest of the site. I submit that Clutch is no different now than he ever was, he is just expressing his opinions. Like everyone else here, he feels hurt, threatened, uncomfortable, frustrated, happy, sad, pissed off and all the emotions we all have and the baggage that goes with it. His responses are based, IMO, not only on his current feelings but on the frustration that builds up over time. Unfortunately, he has more to lose than all of us put together. We can just find somewhere else to chat. He can't just build another site - another community. I think Clutch does the best job he could possibly be asked to do considering the fact that he has a real job, a family and many of the same responsibilities we all have despite the fact that he runs the entire site AND manages to find time to respond to silly posts on the BBS. As for Brian, he's just crazy! He spends his days in therapy and his nights completely drunk on a mixture of Duff Beer and Malt Liquor. Many of you probably didn't know about his stint at the Betty Ford Clinic as the director of plays depicting the flashbacks of former LSD using Vietnam Vets. Talk about stress! So, cut him some slack, will ya'. ------------------ Mmmmmmm. Sacrelicious.
In Clutch's words, you gave me a "slam of global proportions" Now you say I made you look foolish? Tell me what I did so I'll know next time I get in an arguement with my wife. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Jeff -- Thanks man. I log on on and rush over to see more drama, and you and Will come rain on my parade with your 'logic' and your 'good will'. Damn you. ------------------ It doesn't matter if I have a signature!
I don't know if it's the bass speaking... but I love you guys.... except for you guys w/ the word 'rocket' in your names. *hiccup*. ------------------ You don't normally see a shot-blocker out there shooting 3s like that. - Matt Bullard
