Seems Rocket mania cuts across ideology. I also get more interested in the Rockets when they have a great center. :)

There are no Republicans who actually support the morons they're parading as the answer to Obama. If that's the best they can do, I think we can all agree with the hope that the party will die out.

LOL. No, like Strat-o-matic, though not necessarily Strat-o-matic.

    Kind of like this.

Here's my "blog"(though it's really just place to dump results for my own reference).

"Teh internets, you just never know'

The carcophony is just distraction anyway. The 1% controls both parties and the real money issues: energy policy, banking reform, tax rates and the source... election financing.

But which party is doing most of the distraction? Which party's base is more riled up about gays, abortion, religion, and war? Which party doesn't want gays in the military? Which party wanted to block the building of mosques? Which party wants to spend more money on a war with Iran?

    It doesn't matter.

It only matters that no one is talking energy policy though it has been critical for 30 years, no one is talking serious banking and investment banking reform, no one is talking serious tax reform and no one is talking serious campaign finance reform.

So corporations, billionaires and Saudi's are making huge sums of money, and buying the only meaningful legislative influence.

I used to be a follower of Ron Paul before clutchfans, but Jomama and others convinced me to be a left-liberal and a "statist".

I believe it. I think this is SOM's 50th anniversary. APBA goes back to the 1950s.

IRL, my friend. If someone's capable of being made to cry by a stranger on the internet I ain't gonna pick on him; he's sad enough already.

i wasnt even posting in this thread and here you are invoking my name...pathetic.

im not a republican and i dont plan on voting for bling-bling so i felt no need to post here, but since you did drag me into your little thread allow me to point out how again your entire focus is on labeling people instead of actually discussing issues. you call out all these people by name like major and manny and tell them what their political ideology is - why do you feel the need to invoke other posters names all the time? it just comes off as desperate.

as ive said, you view everything through the prism of political affiliation. its incredibly superficial and meaningless.

you are so blinded by partisanship that you will even attack someones military service simply b/c they are a republican. sad.

It means anything done by a Democrat (civil rights, social security, medicare, medicaid, labor laws, environmental regulations, attempting to provide health care even to people with preexisting conditions), doesn't it???

Isn't this a post about what happened to all the Republicans in the D&D? Seems like it would be hard to discuss that without naming names or without using political affiliations. Also, since neither of you seem to keen on discussing issues, let's discuss issues. Why is it wrong to call a spade a spade? If someone identifies as themselves as an avid supporter of Ron Paul and constantly link to Reason, you call them a Libertarian, if they identify themselves as following the bible, you call them Christian. Labels are important and useful because they are communication shortcuts. Do you simply go around in your daily life not making blanket statements about anything? How does that work out for you? Also, given that we live in a two-party state where serious 3rd party options are quickly co opted and brought under the party tents of the big two, it seems very important to view many things through the prism of political affiliation. This is doubly true given social science research on the subject of voting patterns.

Republican logic: Constantly use the words Obama and Socialist in the same sentence and let the rest take care of itself.

Result: We have so many idiotic, racist, bigoted, uneducated, morons in this country that this strategy halfway works. Not to mention we have a sizable amount of fundamentalists that also use the same strategy but instead of calling Obama a socialist they call him the anti-christ/devil worshipper/atheist/etc.

I reckon I should take a hiatus from ye old D and D and get back to gaming. I have some exciting replay projects going:

    - 1956 Herb Score
    - 1971 Don Wilson
    - 1987 Rugby World Cup
    - 1993-94 Rockets
    - 1981 Men's Tennis mini-tour
    - 1975 Oilers
    - 1962-2010 Soccer World Cups
    - and many others
