...until they started clanking shots again.

Everyone acts like we were just playing so great and then Tmac just decided to stop it and hog the ball. I saw what happened. The team was playing well until they started missing all of their shots. They then proceeded to walk the ball up pass to Tmac and stand there. It happened some time after Yao went down because they only had 1 option to go to without yao. Tmac actually started most of the games being trying to force his teammates to get involved.

My argument is that they aren't running the offense because they started missing shots and THEN they started forcing it to Tracy. Because of their poor shooting i'm not so sure they played their best when they ran the offense, they won quite a bit of games just forcing it to Tmac. That speaks volumes to the type of talent this team DOES NOT have.

I'm not interested in assigning blame. It's a chicken and egg type thing.

But if you believe that the Rockets looked their best running the motion offense then I think it's a reasonable conclusion that they should go back to running it, or at least try. Who cares about the past? But for the future T-Mac, Rafer, Jackson--they have got to stop bringing the ball up and shooting it without making a single pass. They have got to stop dribbling the ball until there's two seconds left in the shot clock and then hoist one up. They have got to start passing the ball and cutting without it.

And anybody who can't or won't play the system has got to go.

Obviously it's a personnel problem. BJax has slowly stopped moving without the ball since he arrived. This is partly due to our post guys not being good passers and T-Mac being a ball stopper. Im ready to let go of T-Mac after this year.

it is not T-Mac's fault. It's lack of real playmakers on the team. Nobody besides Rafer and Tracy can create for other teammates.

You saw the difference in game 3 and 4? In game one and 2 Tracy got the ball 30 feet outside and was playing stupid pick and rolls etc. In game 3 or 4 since Rafer came back Tracy has been playing off the ball a lot. Rafer has been handling the ball most of the time with Tracy playing a lot of post ups and plays when he comes off picks for jumpers.

This team just needs REAL playmaker who could average those 8 asist a night or even more and could pass the ball to Yao, Tracy.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't the Team use the motion offense more when TMac was injured? TMac never got it and I hope he gets it next season. The motion offense would greatly help the whole team not just one member.

You're right, but they can't run it alone. When Rafer comes down the court, Shane is standing in the corner, Tmac is posting up, Mutombo is standing near the post and Scola is standing at the elbow. You can see the same things happening when tmac, bobby, or AB are initiating the offense. My point is that everyone else has to move in order for the initial ball handler to be able to run the offense.

i only have one question: if tmac is the reason adelman's motion offense not working, why he is getting so heavy minutes? isn't the coach's decision? so the coach decides to put a guy play 44 min a game to ruin his offense... it doesn't make any sense at all.
i would like to see more minutes of tmac on bench. adelman should show tmac his motion offense works in playoffs and he should change his way of playing immediately.
