I was at last nights game sitting about 12 rows behind the Rocket bench. AB was horrible (per the lusual). The play that really pissed me off was the inbounds pass that he fumbled and managed to knock off his foot. His head was not in the game. I saw him start for the locker room without any discussion with Rick of even Kieth Jones. He just started walking. No sign of injury. just a sulk. I for one was glad he did it. He didn't give Rick the option of putting him in late or in overtime. I hope Rick takes notice and decides to play the hungry T-Will now. Brooks is WEAK and I've said it all along. he finally broke. The millionaire headcase. he makes 2 million a year.

Hello 8th seed !
I am concerned about possible substance abuse. I saw an interview with him a while back, probably a month ago, around the holidays and I swear he was either high or drunk, acting all dizzy and light headed. Hope I'm wrong. But something's not right with him.
i found a link and it said: With 6:45 left in regulation, coach Rick Adelman went back to his starters -- meaning Brooks was out. The disgruntled point guard then headed to the locker room and Adelman didn't know why. "I don't know. I don't know," Adelman said. "You'd have to ask him." Perhaps Brooks has an excuse, but either way he isn't threatening Kyle Lowry. Pouting about his role certainly won't help.
I understand; I'd just like to hear his side of the story. A lot of players leave the court without informing their coach after they get injured -- though usually it's a lot more obvious with them hobbling back to the locker room. I had the Rockets broadcast on last night and saw no mention of Brooks' departure -- was Keith Jones on the bench while Brooks was in the locker room? Either way, he's completely mishandled the 'coming off the bench' situation. Last year, Brooks would often "fight" with Ariza and people blamed Ariza for it. I'm starting to wonder if that was just Brooks fighting for the 'top dog' spot. One senior member on here praised AB for not passing to an open Ariza because 'AB knows he'd just miss.' I cautioned him that not passing to open teammates was a red flag, not a sign of intelligence. It's unfortunate because Brooks is more skilled than Lowry, and yet the writing seems to be on the wall for him. Everyone wants him gone -- but few are realizing that his value is probably at a three-year low right now. I hope Morey realizes this and doesn't trade him for pennies on a dollar.
This is unfortunate. Although AB has been trying to recover from his injury, I don't think Rick has handled his minutes very well. As a team, the Rockets are better off in the long run with a point guard like Aaron as a starter. Kyle Lowry has done a decent job, but he doesn't have the scoring push the Rockets need. Ab has struggled, and there is no denying it. But just a year ago he was the MIP of the league.
Kyle Lowry is a poor man's Andre Miller. That would not be a good pg/ backup pg roster. Plus, Andre is getting old.
did anyone else realize that lowry ran out of the game into the tunnel after his play? and kmart was seemed not too happy and rushed during the post game interview? i think they went to go check on brooks
Anyhow, I am smelling an Brooks for Carl Landry trade. Both guys are struggling with their current team compared to last year and are heading into free agency. The only reason it hasn't happened yet, I believe, is that Morey is holding out to see if there is a bigger deal out there.
Yeah but he has had chances with the Rockets but does not want to tear it up here. He should have known that he would have gotten his contract if he just played out his current one out. If traded I wish him the best but not when he plays the Rockets.
Also possible reasons: Luis Scola, Patrick Patterson, Jordan Hill, Jordan Jeffries No chance we deal Brooks for Landry -- especially when we could just sign Landry in the off-season. Brooks >> Landry -- this is the type of trade that I'm worried about us panicking into. Brooks, at the top of his game, is our best offensive player. Unfortunately, he hasn't been at the top of his game all year. But I hope Morey realizes that you shouldn't look at a player in a four month vacuum -- Brooks was improving every year up to this year, the year in which a major injury early cost him his starting job.
Blessing in disguise....If AB had finished the game, we probably would have lost. Even last season AB was making bad decisions, over dribbles, ignoring team mates, play non-existing defense. But he at least outscores his opponents, which got him playing time. But now that is gone, he have nothing to offer the team. I can look pass all that and hope he find his offense again, but the horrible attitude that could affect the entire team I can not stand.
I agree, Brooks has been getting way too many minutes. Brooks has not played well, but Rick keeps him in the rotation. It's time to see what Ish or T. Will can do as the backup point guard.
He was better as a starter, most of the r****ds still think hes better as a 6th man, but we've all seen how much his play changed when in the starting role. He may have been playing bad, but the rockets as a whole have been playing..uhh BAD. They're not going anywhere this season and a lot of it has to do with poor coaching/management decisions. If trading brooks was the best option, it should have been done long ago. I can't speak for brooks about last night, but he's been more than a good sportsman prior to all this drama. Its just usual for the fans to pick a scapegoat like this, lowry's play apart from a short stretch has been abysmal anyways.
