The only reason the aussies didn't make the world championships was because the (then) coach of Australia picked a ridiculous team of roleplayers (whom he wanted) and proceeded to lose a series with no offensive firepower. That coach was fired (or did he resign before he got fired?) and the current coach selects the players who can actually play basketball to the Australian team. Unfortunate that they didn't make the Worlds (I'm not bitter....) - btu remember that they have been ranked top 4 in the world for the past 6 years (until the 'role-players' series....). So they're not that bad of a team, and probably capitalised on Yao's off-night by smotherig his access. I'd like to see a box score to see whether he shot poorly, or whether he just didn't get many shots!
reason: the guard 's ability.(steve is ok) could not hold the low position perfectly.(weight lifting is ok) hoho
SHAQ Nov. 21st (This season) 10 points in 34 minutes. - vs. the pitiful lottery Warriors - he must be a bust. SHAQ 16pts 34minutes vs. the Rockets (this season) - Eddit Griffin actually played Shaq that game and scored 25 points in 40 minutes. Steve Francis did not play. Close game at 107-101. Shaq didn't score 40+ vs. not so good teams and rookie Griffin so he must be a BUST.
So someone who is concerned by the fact Ming only scored 10 points against a poor team while his team got beat handily is automatically not a "real" Rocket fan?
No, but its unfair not to put the 10 points with the 26 point game and the 27 point game. When I see negative 'spin' like that I tend to ignore it. When I see someone attempting to have an even hand I'll read it every time. Fact is his avg is 21 ppg over 3 games, thats no spin. As I stated above Shaq scored 10 in 34 minutes vs. the lottery Warriors. Everyone knows that Shaq has 27+ point avg so there's no spin there either. To boil down your above statement, you basically say despite his 30+ point avg. he scored just 10 vs. a sorry team tonight so therefore he must suck. Please, at least make a attempt to be fair.
