A lot of the time? Try every time. We're talking about moving screens, which occur on every single possession of any game of basketball. I cannot remember a play in my last 5 years of excessive basketball watching where a player was called for moving screen, down 3, on the last possession of the game, especially on his home court. So many times you see a guy get blatantly hacked while shooting or shoved on a critical rebound, and most of the time us fans just shrug and say, "hey, can't expect them to call that on the last play of the game." So where the hell does this ref get off just randomly calling that crap on us? I was at the game, yelling, demanding that someone get ejected from the game out of principle. Someone, maybe Padgett, should have walked onto the floor and punted the ball into the stands. That's how bad the call was. But no, no one on this team will ever get a technical foul to stand up for themselves.
Hey, I agree. It was a sucky call! But once in a while I've seen those calls done on the OTHER team too! Anyways, the game wasn't a sure thing (we had to hit a 3 just for the tie). That was just a damm good shot by KG! You gotta admit.
Yes, I realize that we had a slim chance of winning the game. But did the asshat ref have to step in and shut the door on our last glimmer of hope?
