Yeah, it's laggy as HELL online. But I think they will fix that. SF4, MVC2 are the two big games I remember having super bad lag issues when they first came out. Namco should fix the server. (this is my experience on xbox btw) Hey, so do you guys recommend demon souls over uncharted 2 for ps3? Let me know, I may just trade my unopened copy of UFC:undisputed to pick up one of the two.
I would recommend trading the game in for either of the two you mentioned. Depends on what you are looking for, as they are completely different...both worth the purchase, however. Uncharted is probably the better experience, but will last you ~12 hours (If you want to only do one playthrough and arent interested in getting the platinum). Demon's Souls will bring you a great RPG experience that will last you 60 hours, but will challenge your patience and gamer ability. Both are good games and you'll probably end up playing both in due time.
Completely different games. Figure out which genre you want to play, and get the corresponding game. I just bought Uncharted 1 so I can play it before getting the second, myself.
Thanks for the response guys! Yeah, I understand they're both two different games. I enjoy both genres. Someone posted on the previous page that renting Uncharted and beat it over the weekend would be cheaper. I think I'll try demon souls...60 hrs of replay looks good to me. It's all about the replay value.
If you're looking for more hours for your buck, Demon's Souls appears to be the way to go. I got the Uncharted 2 platinum in about 20 hours, and I really have no intention of ever putting that disc back into my PS3.
Already ripped through Borderlands (Soldier with a +9 ammo regeneration mod = pillaging!). Level 36, but if anyone wants to play through on the harder difficulty let me know on XBL (Gunslinger57). I'll be more than happy to go through it again. If not, I've got Brutal Legend to get through before Dragon Age on the 3rd. Man I can't wait for that one. I love RPGs, and this one looks just as epic (if not moreso) than Mass Effect. Can't figure out why it hasn't gotten the publicity ME got prerelease. After that, MW2. Between all that and learning the ropes at my new job, I'm going to be busy.
New gameplay vids of the 360 version of Dragon Age: Origins...as if I needed more reason to get it! http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/dragonage/videos.html?mode=gameplay
Made another car on Forza...Tinman, I tried doing the old school Rockets and it wasnt coming out like I wanted, it was pretty tough. So, gonna put that little project on hold. I decided to go with another old school logo. Long live the Houston Oilers. Made the car look like the helmet. Miss those days, enjoy.
Since they stopped making it for the PC, the NBA Live series is dead to me. I'd been an avid player since Live 98. I got NBA Live 2K10, and so far it looks and sounds great (only played it three or four times). EA can kiss my hindquarters.
Probably because its not exclusive, more PC-ish (was PC exclusive at one point...KOTOR successor probably means more to some than Baldur's Gate successor), not a shooter (well, not as much as ME anyway), etc. EA's marketing for the game probably could be better too. Or maybe people are just more interested in alien sex scenes than elf/dwarf/etc. sex scenes. On a related note, apparently they revised the specs downward for the game. Tempted to play it sooner than I was expecting, although I think I'll still wait until 2010. Have too many other things to play anyway.
I love Bioware games, so naturally I voted for Dragon Age. Can't wait even though I have Demon's Souls to tide me over.
I've been goofing off with Forza 3 until Dragon Age is available. It'll probably take me 2 or 3 days just to figure out what character to play. lol. This game better not be a letdown!
Yeah man, the new one...good thing about it is that when you get tired racing during season mode, there are a bunch of stuff to keep you occupied (racing online, creating and selling designs, buying cars from the auction, upgrading your vehicles, etc...) I'll try to get the Rockets design figured out.
I just got off the phone with Best Buy, and they confirmed that you can buy 2 games and get 1 free. Additionally, you can return the 2 unopened games for store credit. For those looking to buy a console, you could essentially buy 10 games, get 5 free, return the 10, and pick up a console with the store credit. You'd also walk away with 5 free games for the price of a console. The sale ends Sunday.
I forget the consoles are cheaper now. You'd only need to buy 6 games (6*60=$360) and get 3 free. Still a console with 3 free games isn't a bad deal. Of course this works for anything else in the store. My wife needs some blue tooth gear and I need to buy some media for work, so I'm thinking about bundling this as part of the video game sale. Use the 2 returned games for $120 in store credit to buy stuff I was going to anyways and get a free game out of it. You've got to work the system.
So the only thing is any returns are for store credit? I'd definitely consider buying 3, and returning 1. 2 Games for $30 and I could use the $60 for MW2
That's what the clerk at Best Buy said, and he seemed to be one of the sharper guys in the store who understood their return system. The only thing about 2 $30 dollar games, would be you'd have to get another $30 game as your free game. So you could get MW2 and a $30 game for $60.
