My bad...went predominantly with PS3 and Xbox, since that seems to be the overwhelming topic of discussion amongst the gamers. I guess "Other" includes Wii titles.
CODMW2 all the way. i forgot i had a gift card to gamestop until yesterday. any fellow ps3 clutchfans getting this game? screen names?
I will probably not be purchasing a game until Mass Effect 2. I'm interested in Dragon Age but I'll probably wait until I can get it on the cheap
vinsensual explained it pretty well in his post I think. If you want something more in-depth: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=225744&site=pcg Basically, Infinity Ward/Activision likes money more than giving gamers a better experience (well...PC gamers I guess, though they've been with them the longest). Unless, of course, they make some changes soon.
Already platinumed Uncharted 2, playing Brutal Legend currently, and swapping out for Ratchet and Clank next week as part of the Toys R Us buy 2 get 1 free deal. After that, I'm really torn between Demon's Soul and Fallout 3. My brother is also going to loan me the Wiii version of Okami, which has been on my to-play-list forever. I don't normally game quite this much. I've been totally binging the past few weeks and enjoying it.
What were your thoughts on Uncharted 2? I had never played the first one, but managed to pry myself away from Demon's Souls for 10 min to check it out and I was more than impressed...hope its a game that continues to impress me until the end.
I haven't played 2 yet, but the first was the kind of game--like Demon's Souls--that grabs you and doesn't let go for a long time, perhaps even multiple times. Valkyria Chronicles and Fallout 3 are the same way. I'd thoroughly recommend picking up the first one, with how cheap you must be able to get it now. More than worth-it.
I'll be the first to tell you that Fallout 3 is really really really good. That said, play Okami and Demon's Souls first. They're both as good as Fallout 3 is, and they're also more unique experiences.
Dragon Age is next for me. I just pre-ordered the PC collector's edition from the EA store. I'm waiting for Borderlands PC to unlock (it's supposed to on Monday afternoon), but with this whole street date fiasco, I'm hoping that they release early. I was considering Modern Warfare 2 for PC, but with all that's been happening lately with it I've scratched it off my list.
I liked the first one, but Uncharted 2 blows it out of the water. It's the perfect blend of FPS, stealth, and platforming. The "interactive cinematic experiences", as Naughty Dog, calls them were simply amazing. Slight spoilers about the types of interactive cinematic experiences. Spoiler Fighting in a collapsing building, breaking into a museum, fighting on a moving train, taking on helicopters and tanks. These were some of the most badass sequence I've played. It really felt like playing a blockbuster summer movie. The plot maybe gets a bit hokey, but it was presented in a top notch manner. I particularly loved the interaction between characters during gameplay. I found the multiplayer boring. Resistance 2 is a much better competitive and cooperative experience.
