It's the reverse for me. There are foods that you can only get in Texas that I am deprived of here in the Pacific Northwest.

    Boudin! I miss boudin!

Oh, and there's only one Popeye's up here. Luckily, I live five minutes away from it. mmmmmmm cajun rice...

Hey Smeg, do you ever drink Victorian Bitter? I met some Tazmanians a while back while on the other half, and they said that was all they drank.

I mentioned Fosters and they nearly kicked my ass. They said the biggest mystery in Australia is how they get the cat to piss straight into a Foster's can.

    Yeah, they're both delish. :)

In-N-out too. Even if their menu is limited, I can never get tired of 2 animal style Cheeseburgers! (=999999 grams of fat)

Got to have 'em "fresh" though, but I'll check them out at Krogers. Thanks! BTW/ Anyone know if there's a White Castle joint in New Orleans? Could have sworn I ate there once BUT that was after partying on Bourbon Street! I don't think I could have told you my name then.....;)

There are a few Whole Foods in town. The biggest and best is at Kirby and Alabama. There's also one on Woodway right before you get to Voss (it's directly across from Second Baptist Church). There's also one waaaaaayyy out on Westheimer past Hwy. 8.

Vegemite, Marmite (the English version) and Promite are sold at Fiesta in the 'foreign foods' aisle. Pricey though.

Krystal Burgers -like wht castl .. from FL
    Snuffer's - North Dallas
    Magic Time Machine - " "

Some foods and restaurants though are just better in their own regions and or cities, otherwise the local flavor of a place would disappear.

Just look now at every shopping district in America... Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc...

    cookie cutter culture... no personality.

As a Filipino, I would have to say Jolly Bee...haha! :D

They have it in California. I don't know how many non-Filipinos know about that joint. I wish we had White Castle over here also, and Roscos....mmmmmm. ;)

    Haha, it's not THAT far...

It's weird how some people say anything past 610 is way out and past beltway 8 is the unknown
