i don’t understand. Yes he get out of position on defense, badly at times. But I don’t think that’s bench worthy. If it’s costing us you just lower his minutes but to not play him at at doesn’t make sense to me. We literally only have two consistent rebounder on this team and he’s one of them. Rebounding has and continuously kill us. And we’re keeping our best one on the bench as well as another vertical spacing option. It’s baffling.
I wonder, too, is he hurting??? Against a team like Thunder, we need Faried, whose rebound protection and energy termination can help the team.
They wanted Old man River in there because of the size of Adams. We are 1-3 against them with this strategy, maybe try Faried? DD
Rest him for the playoffs. I feel if we play OKC faired will be our hidden weapon well at least for the first game or first 2 games. He rested vs the worriers as well so idk
I don't think Nene should be seeing ANY action unless it is spot minutes....Hartenstein is better than him these days. Nene should be the 4th emergency big. DD
Ditto, I figured he was clubhouse energy, once he got injured in the Spurs series he has not been close to the same player. DD
Nene needs to retire, or be traded, Iman Shumpert is an expiring. Danuel House, Kenneth Faried, Austin Rivers are gone. When Chris Paul and James Harden are making $40 million, how can the Rockets acquire talent with no trade assets and no picks heading in Free Agency. Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker is the only asset
OKC is number 1 in offensive rebounds Faried is undersized I expect us to play NeNe against bigger teams Probably NeNe against Utah, Faried vs GS, NeNe Vs Denver
I figure we'll retain 1 (maybe 2) with the next years mle... use bird rights to sign and trade Shump.... even if we just pickup a minor asset... 2nd rd picks can be purchased.... Hopefully Hartenstein will be ready for bu or #3 center... Morey will figure something out...
Faried cant spread the floor and is to small to play center. Capela will take most of the minutes at the Center spot during the playoffs. thats just the way coach does things. Shortens the rotations. People gonna be pissed. #dealwithit
i would like to think that MDA wanted to hide some of our weapons. that's why he wasn't going all out on tonight's game because okc is our potential playoffs match up.
Faried can hit the 3 when wide open and grab offensive boards. Can any other PFs in our system do the same ??
How can MDA hide someone when he is sick and either at home or at the hospital though? Oh you mean over the phone.
Really? Defense affects wins more than rebounding. I've posted tons of articles about how this is an incredibly important and undeniable fact. Mediocre rebounding teams win championships at times, while mediocre defensive teams never win championships. We are picking our poison because this is what we have to work with. If we were talking about maintaining the defense and improving on rebounding, then there's no disagreement. But it would be ridiculous to hurt our defense in favor of rebounding. There are no rebounds for the possessions you get scored on, so the extra rebounds you get elsewhere end up having no effect at all and aren't guaranteed to turn into a point differential. I think Faried needs to play a bit more for sure (especially at backup 4), but I understand why he was benched. While trying his hardest, he rarely ever had a good defensive possession and it was destroying the morale of the team defense. We have climbed the defensive rankings and the league rankings as a result. Tonight's loss was tough, but this is not the answer. The answer is to not leave shooters open in the corner, which was a hallmark of OKC's comeback.
