i have a friend who is city attorney in a very small town in east texas. he prosecuted a public intoxication case once...at trial the defendant insisted on being called batman. with a straight face. the judge said, "well, batman, this is the commissioner, and i'm gonna call you by your real name, and you better damn well answer when i do!"
The Franchise is from Steve Francis, that was to represent the new era of the Rockets. The Blade was Buck Johnson's nickname back when he was a Rocket. Only real old school fans will probably remember Buck Johnson, and I don't think anyone would remember his nickname was 'blade'. I'm not even sure why I remember it. Anyway It was an 'old school/new school' thing at the time. Now it's 'old school/older school'.
I was adopted as a kid and when I found my biological mother she told me that one of the reasons why I was put up for adoption is that she had 3 kids (1 girl and 2 boys) already and her oldest daughter at the time didn't want... I joined this site during that time. There are other reasons too, but this one is the most honest.
