?? andrew bynum's been on one leg.........and kobe's as banged up as he's ever been, sure he was out there, but he's probably gonna get right knee surgery, and he's still got a busted finger on his shooting hand.

Question: What does Ron Artest winning a championship teach Rocket fans?

Answer: That if JR Rider got to play with Kobe he would have a chance too.

Stop hating. Ron Artest is a key player for the champions, not some scrub.

Ron is the Black Kobe Bryant, i.e., the Black Black Mamba.

    This.

I think Martin/AB will NOT shoot well when the game is played as physical as the finals, and Martin won't get all those calls he's getting. Defense and physical toughness is way more important in playoffs than pure shooting.

I still believe Rockets would have a better chance at championship with Lowry as PG than AB.

Artest's defense on Pierce is a huge factor that Lakers beat Celtics. Two years agon Pierce killed Lakers.

Both team's defense were a lot better than offense. Defense again wins Championships.

    He sure was, he was a great 4th or 5th option.....at 9ppg......

Screw Ron Artest, he is not a Rocket, and the team made the right choice.

Ron Artest got his ring....big whoop, glad they are stuck with that loser for the next 4 years at a MLE sized contract.

Nope, balance does, the Celtics had the better defense the Lakers the better balance of offense and defense.....but mostly rebounding...lol.

    Wrong.

Kobe is overrated nowadays. He didn't make much clutch shots or clutch plays in the series. He just has a better coach and better teammates than everybody else.

Kobe missed playoffs in his prime without proper help. He wouldn't get to the finals if Lakers didn't get Gasol etc.

With Gasol/Odom/Bynum/Artest as supporting cast, there are maybe a dozen players can win Championships.

I don't understand why you are so bitter about Artest. I didn't like him in our system, but you make him seem like he is a horrible player. Yeah he has plenty of negatives, but he actually try to adjust to the Lakers system this year. He had some bad moments here and there, but nothing as horrible as you make him out to be.

Yeah, balance does. However, defense is sure a bigger factor than offense. Offense will never be consistent facing that kind of defense. It might win you one game here and there, but in the end, defense is the bigger key, because it's always there.

That's why I'm worring about current Rockets team. Defense is non-exist in the 2nd half of the season.

I think he is 100% a fruitcake sized punk, don't like him, never will....glad.....no ECSTATIC he is gone.

I am 100% an official Ron Artest sucks hater......and he is NOT a Rocket.....so everyone that wants to go swing from his brown and curlies can take it to the NBA dish, because that is where Laker talk belongs.

Who shot the higher percentage last night? Who played the better overall defense?

    Boston, or the Lakers?

Rebounding won the game last night.

Defensive rebounding is considered one part of defense. You finish your defense with rebounding. That's why Perkins is considered a better defender than Wallace. Boston missed Perkins big time.

Artest played 46+ minutes in game 7, more than any other player.

I will go out on a limb and say Phil Jackson knows a little more about basketball than you. There is a reason Artest played practically the whole game, it's because he's good.

That also give me more things to worry about Rockets. Both Martin/AB are weak rebounders. Another reason Lowry is suited better for playoffs.

Lowry? ROLFMAO...yeah, go look up his playoff stats from last year.....

Take that weak argument into another thread....SHEESH !

The Rockets rebounding does need to get better, Yao should help, as will a decent rebounding big.

Doesn't mean, I have to like the guy, does it?

So, he is an integral cog at 9.0ppg for the Lakers......not as a Rocket....we don't need him.

    Glad he is gone.

The key is Artest's defense on Pierce. Pierce got to the line at will two years ago, not in this series.

Lowry's stats in last year's playoffs is better than AB's first playoff series. Lowry only played half of the season that year, AB played two at that point.

Decent rebounding PG will help rebounding too.
