Something has to be brewing. With Willie, Lane, Mo, Lamb, Burke and Scott we have depth but we also will end up with some quality bats sitting on the bench.

If Lee is cemented in LF....that leaves Willie, Scott, Lane and Burke for 2 OF spots. If we dont get Andy and Roger back, I think we see what it would take to get Dontrelle using any of those guys....maybe Willie and Mo.

I hope we dont do the rumored Burke for Jennings deal....i think its too much to give up.

There are options... but I wouldn't say its of the quality to where a move HAS to be made, or even can be made.

You have one speedy CF who can't hit, one near 30 streaky right handed batter, one near 30 left handed batter who had an amazing half-season, and one 2B who is athletic enough to play the OF.

Scott will have a job, and Lane looked good off the bench last year and in platoon spots. Burke is tradeable (as mentioned), but will have a significant role once Biggio takes over 2B.

Then, we're also assuming that all our current OFers will remain healthy.

I like Willie's speed, but doesn't have the bat to be in the lineup...I hope we get something good in return...What about Morgan...Huff? who stays, who goes and what do we get in return...at least with Morgan, we may get something...

I have mixed feelings about these guys, but we still need another pitcher and another bat with speed would be nice...
