To me what this doe is show McHale he has a different way to run this team. Its clear lin is much better when he is running the show. I DONT think the Harden-Lin thing will be anything like Carmelo-Lin. Harden can play off the ball. The biggest difference going forward hopefully will be a lot less lin camping out in the corner (we even saw that to start this game, then when lin came back in for douglas he started being aggressive). Basically my point is I dont forsee any Lin/Harden whos the man drama like there was for the NYK last year. I really believe these guys can compliment each other
The only thing that was different was Lin hit some shots and started getting some confidence. If Lin does that every game like he could....then our backcourt will be much improved. I really don't think Harden being out had anything to do with this other than Lin had a better mindset.
Wish Lin grew some balls and started attacking the rim like tonight. TD had plenty of ball handling duties and Lin was fine.
I hope Harden realizes he isn't the one that should be initiating the offense.. why don't our plays END with harden instead of beginning with harden
it means the coaching staff has to get their arses out of their head and go back to democratic basketball. make it work. they can coexist, dammit.
And gave it all back up on the other end. Yes, he played well, but I'm not going to lose my mind over one great offensive game and nineteen average-to-awful offensive games.
Tony Delk scored 50 points in a game. It's nice, but it doesn't mean anything in a long season. What we want from Jeremy is simply consistent good play. We don't need him to be Linsanity every game, or even any game. Just put up 13-15 points and 6-7 dimes on 43-44% shooting and all Rocket fans would be delighted.
er...actually people tend to throttle their games to try to defer to the other. This always happens. In fact, this type of story was usually widely reported whenever "super teams" were put together. The last 2 that I can recall from memory were when the Celtics first came together and when the Heat came together. When you respect another player on your team, you tend to try to defer and overpass.... This also happens in pickup basketball...
Lin has had roughly 15 REALLY good games in his NBA career in his limited NBA career. Not really fluky to me anymore. Harden has absolutely no issue letting another guy do his thing. If we see the same thing we've been saying it would be on McHale
