Then you must have hated Magic and Cap playing together, or Jordan and Pippen, or Bird and McHale, or Shaq and Kobe. Wade hasn't been playing better than any of those guys over the last 2 years, and he has NEVER been regarded as a top 2 player in the league. The only people on that list that he was better than were Pippen and McHale, and even then we truly don't know how much better because those two rarely got to have their own teams (Pippen had great success his lone season being the man).

Bill Worrell wasn't an NBA player in the 90s so where does his bias come from? Drexler has no issue pointing out things that go against the Rockets and does so to the point that he doesn't even come off as our actual broadcaster. So that doesn't exactly strike me as biased either.

Matt Bullard is the only one where you would have somewhat of a decent case but doesn't explain Worrell and Drexler and the fact that it comes off more as just laughing about it than trying to beat their own chests.

My only point is if you haven't actually seen it for yourself I don't see how you could at least not notice how those three notice it since you presumably watch most if not all Rockets games.

About offensive and defensive efficiency: As I said before this is only specifically relative to the teams and players who played in that era. You can't be like "Well a team from 2012 has better defensive efficiency from a team in 1993 so therefore they are better defensively". The team from 2012 could go to the era of 1993 and have their defensive rank drop considerably because it's in an era of different rules with different players. Playing defense in 2012 is greatly different than playing defense in 1993. Literally 95% of what defense is today is just acting and not playing defense.

I certainly respect everyone's views here but I guess I just don't see how anyone can argue that unless they just don't watch games in full or pay much attention to the games they do watch. I doubt it's just a magical coincidence that 97% of the over thousand games I've seen in the last 8 years between all the teams in the league are the only games where defense wasn't played much and there was an absurd amount of acting.

This doesn't mean there were more bad fouls in the past. Most fouls in the 90s were legitimate and hard fouls. Almost all fouls today involve mostly acting and/or are just plain bad calls. I literally count over 20 bad calls (when it comes to fouling) a game on average these days. In a sports era where officiating is by far the worst it's ever been the NBA by far takes the cake in worst officiating amongst any sport that I watch (which are MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL).

On the contrary I see way more scorers not play defense than I do those who do.

Well that's the thing. If I compared that video to most games I have seen over the last 8 years they actually did guard closer and especially made far more of an effort to contest the shots. Way too often players nowadays literally just stand there while the shooter is shooting a three pointer. It would be fine if it wasn't 10 times or more every game.

What I'm simply saying is this: Lebron James has actually scored more points on average while playing with a slower offense than when he has played with a faster one. So to say a somewhat faster pace would instantly jump Lebron's stats to the point that it overrides a huge difference in defensive play and officiating combined and then still adds to his scoring is something I just can't agree with.

    Which part do you deny?

That he's a HOFer? Because he is in the HOF and in fact was named in the top 50 of greatest players up to the mid 90s era.

That he was part of the dream team? Well no he was definitely on that team.

That he's unbiased? I don't see how he's not. He never shies away from admitting when a bad call went our way or when we get lucky. He never shies away from admitting when we are outplayed even in games we win. So yeah he strikes me as unbiased in almost everything I hear him say.

I have been on a ton of forums but this is my first time on this one. I'm sure the Administrator could tell you that. Thanks for the welcome though.

I would say Pippen as MJ's sidekick has been better than Wade during Lebron's tenure with the Heat. Wade has sort of underachieved, especially in this year's playoffs (probably more due to injury but still has to be factored).

Even though Lebron is a cross between Magic and Jordan, he can't be GOAT because he lost to the freak'en Mavericks while being completely clueless.
