The league isn't weaker now; there are millions and millions more people around the world that are playing organized basketball now than there were in the 1990's - do you honestly think that the best 500 or so of those players now is inferior to the best 450 back then?
he has already screwed himself by runnign away to play with Talent. Yes, the Greats of the NBA will judge him on this when comparing to MJ and Magic. He can never be #1. But could get to top 5 when it's over.
how are there 86 people on here who think he will be the best ever by winning 2 rings? is the average age on this board 15?
Is this a joke? Jordan didn't start winning titles until Magic and Bird were over the hill, the Pistons had deteriorated, and the league was weak from the new expansion. What big teams did he beat in the playoffs? Jordan was great but I swear his legacy gets bigger by the day. He wasn't THAT much better than his peers.
Yeah, and Pat Riley just said LeBron was the best player of all time. Opinions are like assholes... Form your own opinion. You obviously aren't old enough to have seen MJ so there's no point ranking him.
I remember from the first Rockets Championship, on. so i do not remember MJ's first 3 titles or the hard time against the Pistons. Sounds like those Pistons teams were rough!!
Someone formed theirs and you called it a joke. A lot of people believe 90s basketball was one of the golden ages of basketball, so it's not farfetched to have an opinion like that.
90's MJ Prime Shaq Prime Dream Prime Barkely Prime Malone Prme Drexler Prime D. Robinson Prime Stockton Prime Pippen Prime Ewing Prime give me a list of 2010's prime so i can ****ing laugh at it.
Jordan wouldn't allow his team to lose to another team that doesn't have their 2 best players playing.
Noah is better than Deng, and I'd argue he's more important than Rose. But the Bulls are like the Spurs in that their teamwork is what makes them good, not any individual player.
Lebron sucks like always, useless player in the last 3 minutes so bad its amazing, thats why he can never be the greatest ever. He can be the greatest ever 45 min player.
Well, we know Lebron's cult followers have made every excuse for him since his Cleveland days. Plus, I'm sure him playing with 2 other superstars and the best assembled group of role players in the NBA has helped the "King" tremendously. Miami's the most stacked team in the NBA since Magic, Kareem & Worthy. How lucky has Lebron been to pick the superstars he wants to play with?
If they go on to win the series then it won't matter. Pacers had a nice little lead on the Heat too last year. We see how that turned out. Any ways Lebron needs a DPOY and a few more rings. Maybe not 6. Jordan is considered the best and Russell has much more. IMO Lebron is already the most complete player to ever play the game. You know there are guys who do everything alright...well Lebron does everything great. He really has no weaknesses. I mean if you were creating a player on NBA 2k and maxed out all his stats to at least 75 you'd have Lebron James.
Don't see how was 90's was tougher. Jordan didn't win until Bird and Magic got old and Kareem retired. Also Jordan never played against second best player Hakeem in playoffs. Young Shaq was good, but LeBron, Durant, CP3 all better, plus Kobe, KG, Duncan, Dirk all all-time greats. LeBron and Durant should retire with 2nd and 3rd best all time playoffs PER, if they don't decline too much in their older years(currently 2nd and 6th, but Durant might climb to 3rd best this playoffs).
